I don't think Clinton will help for two reasons. Clinton isn't on the ballot and neither is Bush and all Clinton did was highlight OWEbama's failures. The second and most important reason is that tomorrow the unemployment numbers come out. No reasonable person thinks there will be any improvement. So despite what Clinton said last night or what OWEbama says tonight, tomorrow will be a crash landing and a stark reminder of what a failure OWEbama has been.

On a separate note, the D&C overplayed its hand on the abortion issue. For those who think the GOP is extreme compared to the nation at large should look in the mirror and see the extreme position the D&C has taken. Most Americans want restrictions on abortion and oppose taxpayer funding of abortions. Two areas the D&C are out of step with the populace and they put it front and center Tuesday night.

It's a fucking stupid mistake by Romney too. Gore made the same dumb mistake in 2000. Whether liberals like it or not W is far, far, far more popular with right wing conservatives than Romney is. I don't argue that Romney does not appear comfortable in his skin. There is no doubt that the GOP base is more interested in voting OWEbama out than voting Romney in. Romney wasn't even my 5th choice in the primary battle, but it is what it is. The GOP establishment got what they wanted, now they have to live with it. That is why I left the GOP.

But, the question was whether or not Clinton helps OWEbama and the answer is NO. Nothing Clinton said last night or OWEbama says tonight is going to change the jobs report tomorrow.
