Student Beat For Not Getting Out Of Bus Seat

The argument on a Franklin Township school bus wasn’t particularly unusual. One student had taken a seat that another wanted for himself.But to Lora Hoagland, what followed was horrifying — a 15-year-old attacking her younger, smaller son for nearly a full minute, the image captured on a cellphone video taken by another student on the bus as it left the parking lot at Franklin Township Middle School East on Wednesday afternoon.


According to a police report, the fight began when the 15-year-old approached Caleb, told him he was in his seat and threatening to throw him out if he didn’t move. A witness told the school police officer that the 15-year-old then “pushed (Caleb) very hard in his seat and hit his head against the window. (Caleb) recovers, stands up and pushes (the 15-year-old) back.’’


At that point, according to the report, the 15-year-old pushed Caleb to the floor, where he fell on his hands and knees. The report states that the 15-year-old “then began to throw multiple punches with a closed fist to his upper body. ... No punches were thrown by Caleb.’’


The cellphone video, according to the police report, helped to substantiate Caleb’s and other witnesses’ account of the attack and will be used as evidence.




Guess this is what Obama meant about getting in the back of the bus.
 
A fight on a school bus? Wow, who would have thought it! Imagine that. Two high school kids getting into a fight. What is the world coming to?

The previous comments were sarcasm. Any resemblance between those words and reality is purely coincidental
 
Kids being kids, not excusing the violence but really, its hardly something to get upset about. My time on school buses was just as violent on a regular basis, it's called being an adolescent male teen.

I have never screamed about racism, but thanks. It's a couple of kids hitting/pushing eachother on a bus over a seat. sounds typically high school too me. But thanks for letting me know the "attacker" was black.

Caleb shouldnt have wasted time "shoving". He should have used a palm heel strike to the assailants solar plexus so as to paralyze the diaphragm then when Kanye doubled over knee him in the nose. Situation handled. Only way to deal with savages is with extreme prejudice

liberals talk about stopping the gun violence, but school bus fighting is no big deal, even though it's a gateway to gang violence. but gang violence is ok as well, since it just affects gangs, unless it's drug related, then we need to stop the war on drugs. but lets avoid that issue as well and just go straight to racism, unless it's black on white crime, then it's historical justice and not hate crimes.

If I thought for one second that the twit who posted this was concerned about school violence, I would have treated it as a serious topic. But his racism is clear in his posts. He wants to scream the typical "If this had been the other way around you would be screaming bloody murder". But he is only angry because a white kid got his ass kicked by someone who is not white.

This is no different than those who scream racism whenever Obama is criticized. It is faux outrage and a joke.
 
Back in middle school, 8th graders rode in the back and Sevies rode in the front. This was enforced by physical threat.

Seriously STY you're getting upset about a fistfight between kids? And you don't get upset when somebody shoots a cop? I think you've got your priorities backward. In any case trying to stop this sort of fighting is almost as pointless as it is meaniningless, I could spout sociology jargon about the brain being in an immature phase but really it comes down to kids(male and female) learning their place in society, learning what will and wont be accepted, how to deal with their peers and how conflicts are resolved. It's rather like college but with a stronger security net. Essentially for me it comes down to this, (and you should be agreeing with it since you're all for the wild west administration of justice) at a certain point in a teenage guy's life somebody is going to show him that all the hormones telling him he can take on the world are wrong, and that he really doesn't want to go after the football player who outweighs him by fifty pounds.



Beyond that, really? It's a pare of kids scrapping, nobody pulled a knife or a gun, I don't think any bones were broken or any serious loss of blood. So we get one bruised ego(which is a good thing in a highschooler) and move on.

Why are you making such an issue of the black on white rather than white on black, they're both kids. Can't I argue the merits without being a "reverse racist"?
