At the time, there was an agreement of sorts between the church and the Selective Service allowing exemptions from the draft for missionaries. Before and after his missionary deferment, Romney also received nearly three years of deferments for his academic studies.
• In April 1965, Romney registered with the Selective Service but was not considered readily available for military service until December 1970. When he became eligible for military service in 1970, he drew a high number in the annual draft lottery and at that time no one drawing higher than 195 was drafted.

no one brought anything up about rules. I don't know why you would imply that I did. You are allowed to post irrelevant responses all day long, and I will point them out when it happens. And everything will be right in the universe.
Though, I don't think you are doing a very good job of showing how compassionate a liberally inclined person is on the military's side, when anyone in the military that happens to disagree politically is automatically "stupid" and "brainwashed"

It makes me despair. The people most affected negatively by repub policies can't open their eyes and see clearly that they're being used. And the ones who served in Vietnam and now realize they were just cannon fodder are scorned for their sacrifice, not honored. See: swiftboating.

Is there any proof that "the military supports Romney"?
As far as actual post content is concerned on JPP, the only rules are:
1. No personal information
2. No porn
3. no sexually explicit stuff involving kids
4. no spam (this almost never comes up)
everything else you are free to say whatever you want.
On to the second part of your post:
I am not bragging about "how stupid they are" I don't think they are stupid. I am bragging about how they have historically do not support liberal policies. And that no matter what anyone wants to say or cry about, they will continue to support conservatives.
I then conclude that I think you are wrong to assume that anyone that disagrees with you politically is because they are "stupid or brainwashed" that's very elitest, and quite sad. I am often elitest myself, but at least I own that, and also, I'm usually trolling or using hyperbole.
