LOL

You still holding out hope that Obama will legalize it? He lied to the American people when he was trying to get your votes. Now his DOJ stormtroopers are shutting down medical marijuana clinics all over the place.

Obama promised to legalize marijuana?

Why did the growers vote against prop 19?

http://www.tokeofthetown.com/2010/11/the_day_after_--_anti-prop_19_growers_interviewed.php

I reported last week that the growers up north were having a change of heart concerning Prop 19. Many of the people who I spoke to told me, "We're voting for it, no matter how many people say we're not." Well, that didn't happen.

I called up north this morning to talk to some of the growers and apparently they had another change of heart, and voted against Prop 19.

"When the economical climate is rough, people get desperate," one grower said. "The growers up here aren't any different than anyone else when it comes to money. The Rand think-tank had something to do with it. When they stated growers would get less if Prop 19 passed, that woke a lot of people up."

I asked Mendocino icon Tim Blake what he thought.

"I knew every grower was against it," Blake said. "There really isn't an upside for us up here. If it passed, many, many people would lose money. The language of the bill was bad and the growers couldn't be sure where the market was going to go."

"Then there was that Eric Holder thing where he said he'd bust us even if it passed," Blake said. "Most growers would rather go back to the old days, the old way of doing things. And why not? You're making three times what you used to in the old days."

Washington and Oregon bouth have messures on the ballot for full legalization this november. From what I see they have a good chance of passing.Ofcourse if the do pass shit will hit the fan.

Oh, this reminds me. There was this MSgt who retired today. He is a wild guy, politically - very anti-authority type, always plugging some propaganda piece (I would call him a radical populist). Anyway, during his closing remarks, he said "I hope I can find a cause worth getting arrested for," and talked about how it's pretty much a condition of protest today that you will get arrested. Some of the troops had pitched in some money and bought him $100 worth of US Savings Bonds and told him "we know how much you love the government."

I'm going to miss him - he's awesome!!

that is interesting coming from a msgt....i have never served, but my dad and step dad have and one is still a high ranking member (top GS something)on the civilian side.

i cannot fathom why, after a decade of prohibition, we still have marijuana as an illegal drug.

boggles the mind.
a stroke of the pen by Obama ,and it's legal.(Schedule 2), and then the DEA doesn't have abslute power to override state law.
(Schedule 2 is "high potential for abuse, but pharmocologic useful")

While Congress does need to get involved to “free the plant” and it’s users legislatively, the combined DEA / IRS raids that have occurred under Obama can be changed administratively.
All Obama needs to do is to command, by Executive Order, that the DHHS & DEA follow 2 separate DEA Administrative Law judicial decisions that would shift cannabis (the plant) into the same or lessor CSA Schedule classification that Big Pharma has been granted for their synthetic THC “products” to provide relief for medical marijuana patients.

Obama is taking care of Big Pharma , He doesn't care about dispensarys or patient access., he even changed his initial Ogden Memo to the Cole Memo -which unleashed this witchhunt by the USDA's - see "weed wars" thread http://www.justplainpolitics.com/sh...ic-(Harborside)-under-RICO-filing-by-CA.-USDA

Obama promised to legalize marijuana?

No, he never promised that, that was just wishful thinking on pot smokers, but he got their votes . What he did promise, in your video....

"I'm not going to be using Justice Department resources to try to circumvent state laws on this issue."

Instead he went after them with a vengeance

Hope he retired young, it takes 30 years for those bonds to reach maturity now.
