I have mine and Hubby his because we're hunters, well.. he is, I'm not anymore.. plus,my grandfather was also an expert and the marines would send him to shooting tourneys over the globe, so I've been shooting since I was 7 or 8 and am pretty comfy with them.. and, it's pretty awesome to fire a few rounds out at target practice..
I've got nothing to do with any insurrection or militia for that matter.. maybe the 'monster militia' once (howie will get it, it's a radio program 'fan club').. But I don't live in the best neighborhood(had a armed invasion next door last year, owner only lived because he had more guns than the intruders and he shot all 4 guys, they lived, they ran and got shot in ass).. and when hubby goes hunting all weekend, it's nice to have a pump action shotgun close by.. because I don't care who you are, when you hear that 'pump', your ass is going to pucker and get you right the fuck out of my house without me even having to shoot ya..
but here's the thing..I'm on another site that is the opposite of this.. as liberal as it is here, it's extreme conservative there.. On there, since I'm a liberal, I get the whole all- encompassing

my answer on both sites is this.. I don't want to give any one an abortion, but I want anyone who wants one to have a safe procedure by a trained physician anywhere in this country. I don't want to give every man a blunt, but I want any man who wants one to be able to buy it,roll it and toke it on his couch watching Family Guy and eating Doritos.. I don't plan on joining a militia or think any kind of race war is coming, but if anyone of legal age and who is trained and properly licensed wants to go shoot up some cans on the weekend? Have at it and enjoy yourself.
These issues are so damn polarizing.. and they mean so little. This "Joker" would have gotten his gun legally or otherwise.. if not, he was smart enough to just bomb the place.. banning guns isn't going to stop or deter this kind of anomaly, the same way banning abortion isn't going to stop them.. it's just going to put them back in the 'dark alleys'..
alls I'm saying is.. not every gun lover is part of a militia..nor do they want to be and not every liberal hates guns, nor do they want them banned.. and we've got other things to worry about. Mitt Romney could easily buy this election. The GOP is already making it infinitely harder for (D) to vote, a few billionaires have pledged unlimited money to ruin Obama.. Banks are fucking this economy every which they can.. all legally. Our debt is so huge we had better find some 'alternate energy' source 1st to pay it off and not become "Rome"...Guns are a part of the American culture, they always will be.. taking them from the responsible people isn't going to stop the crazies.. there's a saying in the 'gun world' that's apropos here.. "When Guns Are Outlawed, Only Outlaws Will Have Guns" think about it.. because it's true. You won't stop King Dealer on the street from getting his gun, but you'll prevent a family of 5 from protecting themselves from him.
and besides.. when the Zombiepocalypse happens, how else are you going to adhere to rule no.4, the 'double-tap' if you've banned all the guns? I mean, sheesh people..
