Assault weapons should only be allowed to kept at approved shooting ranges, any kept on private premises should be confiscated subject to an amnesty first.

The author was a nutjob from the left wing anti-gun school. You ignore that while we do adapt to changing times, it is not to take away rights, but to add to them.

For example, the nonsense that many on the left spout off such as: 'well if people are supposed to be armed as well as the government that must mean you want people to be able to buy nukes'

The founding fathers gave us the ability to amend there work as that is how we make changes to the Constitution. If the lunatic left wants to change the second amendment via another amendment to the Constitution, they are welcome to run on such platforms and to try and do so. They have that right.

This is plain and simple about anti-gun nuts wanting to rant and rave about how guns are the evilz. You don't see them trying to ban auto's which we see far more involved in death than we do guns. Almost 42,000 per year die because of those evil cars.

LOL... actually I do know, I am right here witnessing what is going on. He clearly had alternative methods he could have employed if he hadn't gotten the guns. Period. Your pretending otherwise and ranting on and on to the contrary will not change that very simple fact.

why? A person could kill far more with a home made bomb than an assault rifle. Should we ban all ingredients for the bombs too? Have a government employee monitor the use of those materials perhaps?

The moronic need to blame the gun is astounding. It was the person. Not the gun. Period.

There have been many changes to gun laws down the years, I don't remember that the second amendment was also changed to allow those to be enacted.
