Nonsense. Everybody understands that the tax forms include way too much information to be safely produced at whim... Shoot, soon it will be necessary to take stock of what you purchase as well as what you earn on those same forms.

Since you think you can safely produce those at a whim, please provide the first example.

I don't care. I didn't care when other people waited, and I still won't care when candidates for that office only release a year or two in the future. You can clearly see enough in one or two years worth to play "gotcha" for a lifetime.

I'd rather have information salient to making a good choice on who to hire for the job of President. College records, writings, etc. Things you would ask for when interviewing a new prospect for hire. Nobody has ever asked me for tax forms in such a situation.

Since when did privacy have anything to do with running for President? Hell, Obama's been president for almost a full term, and you idiots are still screaming for a birth certificate from him! Even though he already released it!

Romney wants to be President. He wants to show us he's a good businessman. So why is he hiding all the records, from Bain to the Olympics to his governorship, that prove what an outstanding businessman he is?

OK. If I have to I'll explain it to you I will. Two robberies take place. One is an armored truck and the take was $1.5 million. The second robbery was a corner store and the take was $150.00. Which robbery will be assigned more people to help solve the crime? Do try to focus, as well.

Romney should be happy the government is going to verify his claim. He'll be able to run ADS on that. It will help his campaign. He should be thanking Obama. :)

No proof at all. The IRS is checking if everything is OK.

Banks are audited. Businesses are audited. In fact most people do what would be considered an audit when they do their monthly budget or pay a CC bill. Don't you check the items on your CC bill to ensure you're only charged for items you purchased?

That's all an audit is. It's checking financial records. It's not a crime to be audited. The IRS does not "come after them". An audit is not an arrest.
 
I was audited by the IRS once because I earned interest on an acct in Germany I forgot to claim.
