Fatal shooting at Denver screening of The Dark Knight Rises

It could easily have flagged up the fact that he was assembling a mini arsenal over a period of weeks.

Of course I don't agree with this. I once went in to the Pawn shop and bought 5 semi automatic 22 caliber weapons in November. They were Christmas gifts for my nieces and nephews that year.

I bought 2 rifles at one time as gifts for my brother and nephew's birthdays.

Plus, I am not so sure that the killer in question bought his guns at or near the same time so as to raise any flags.

How many guns of what type constitute an arsenal? I have 23 or 24 guns right now. When I was younger and didn't have a wife and kid to support I might have as many as 50. The guys who installed my AC back in the mid 90's noticed all the weaponry in my house then and asked at the local store if the guy who lived at the end of the road in the woods was OK. The store owner laughed when he found out they were talking about my guns and said, "Yea, he's OK, he just likes to shoot."

Not a thing, but if there had been some type of notification about the large amount of ammo he bought in a short time frame, it may have alerted someone to pay attention and ask questions, especially with all the other gear he had purchased.

what other purchases should alert authorities to something? buying more than one car at a time? maybe we should alert the authorities when anyone buys more than 30 acres of property because he/she might be building a religious compound? more than two cellphones, because who needs three cellphones other than terrorists?

You are one sick bastard. Dont reply please.

I wonder what these fools would say if that guy Henson? Heston? Yes, the film star with the unused brain, what would they say if he came back to life and told them they were wrong?

Why would you think we would? Shoot, in the US we still have public garbage cans at the rail stations. Does that show we are stupid or just less paranoid than the Brits?

Those were removed because of the IRA which was sustained and supported by extremely gullible Americans who bought into the crap about freedom fighters. If you go back to Britain now, you will find that rubbish bins are now all back in place. I wonder how long trash cans would survive if there was a bombing at Grand Central station?

we'd tell him he's a fucktard sell out and to move to hong kong.

A fucktard. Hmm. Such remarkable erudition.
Should you ever decide to bring your american stupidity past your own shores to Hong Kong, I can assure you that you would get no further than passport control and be placed on the next available flight home.
We do not allow admitted terrorists free access into the city.

So if I buy 6000 rounds, how does anyone know I"m not planning on sharing it with 11 friends, who have the same weapon, at the shooting range?

Well the obvious answer to that is the ammo should only be delivered to a licenced shooting range and not to a private address. The even more obvious answer is that those kind of weapons were banned by Clinton in the '90s and shouild never have been allowed to become legal again.

they'd try something ridiculous like extra police with automatic weapons doing random frisks and searches in violation of the 4th Amendment, but most people won't care about others rights because they 'feel' safer.

I can assure you that I have no desire to visit your communist country, so you're premise is based on a false assumption.
