THIS is probably the dumbest defense of gun rights I've ever heard. Especially from someone so fond of the Constitution and Bill of Rights. Since the Constitution established the military and the Bill of Rights established the need for a militia (ie, National Guard).

The 2nd Amendment is also not about the military, considering that the framers of the constitution had just fought a war for independence against an oppressive central government, it makes zero sense that they would then write an amendment guaranteeing that a new central government were the only ones with guns. STUPID!!!!!!

and the 2nd Amendment does not GIVE a right, it RECOGNIZES a pre-existing right and prohibits the government from infringing on it.
