The vast majority of gun owners in this country are law-abiding citizens

then let them go complain to the founding fathers about it. they thought it was worth it as well.

they can take the same argument to the founders.

and those same founders left us a system in which to improve on their ideas so we could make this country function well into the future.

do you hate that part of the founders plan?

not at all. feel free to amend the constitution per the founders intent, either in congress or 3/5ths of the states. Just don't pressure politicians to make draconian laws to restrict the right to bear arms for everyone due to the actions of 1% of the population.

Draconian, limiting the rounds is not Draconian, sorry.

yes it is. there is no good reason why I should be limited in the number of rounds I can have loaded in my weapon and you're fear isn't one of them either.

Why not? The fear you have relating to not having a gun are just a legitimate as mine in your having one. It is why compromise is necessary. You get to keep your gun and I get to feel better that you can't kill as many people without reloading.

How much money do 'anti rights groups' throw at politicians vs the NRA and gun lobby?
don't know....don't much care. i'm not an NRA member nor am I part of the gun lobby. I do know that the NRA is over 4 million members strong. that amount of voters makes all politicians think.

You made the point - demonstrate why it's valid. In dollars and cents.
what point did I make? other than anti rights groups and anti rights politicians constantly try to create law that restricts ALL freedoms, not just guns.

apples and oranges. I'm not denying you anything, you choose to go unarmed while making insulting comments regarding my 'fear', but in the same process you're using your 'fear' to limit my effective self defense and basing it on the notion that i'm going to kill lots of people, with no facts in evidence to that effect.

Glad you admit it. Wish more people did. 'Worth it' is why it will continue, yet morons who whine about gun rights will continue acting 'shocked' over it.

40,000 die in car crashes each year in the united states. Whether you would want to phrase it this way, you too, have determined that a certain amount of death is worth it, so that we may drive and commute.

Death is the price you pay sometimes for your freedom.

No. Death is the price paid by others for your freedom.
