the only thing i find troublesome is demographics ( for the most part) drive the vote. Most of us do follow issues, but i see way too much demographic divide.

rural/city - college educated/not -white/non white -region ( most of the states aren't even up for grabs.)

This tells me we really don't listen, we react. I just read a piece in THE FIX (WAPO) that only about 5% of the voters are undecided ( bear with me -going swimming can't find the link)

Seems whom you are is more important then what you think - this is a generalization - but like all generalizations has a "truthiness" behind it.
