Sure, Obamacare has a mandate. BUT...

Purchase of health care insurance is still voluntary.

Don't buy it, you pay a tax. So, effectively, it is a voluntary tax.

Just like when you voluntarily refuse to pay your income tax. By doing so, you incur another tax. A penalty tax.

Surely you know that polls of registered voters and/or adults always skew toward demalqeudacrats? Please tell me you know that. Show me the same result with likely voters and OWEbama is probably getting trounced.

Thanks. I am looking at retirement in about 3 or 4 years. Since I can't find insurance with that cheap of a yearly premium (most is about that much a month) I may just choose to pay the tax. That said, I am seriously looking at this as an option. I would have really liked for the them (you know, federal government) to figure out a way to lower medical costs....then implement some sort of version of AMA for the country.
