Is Bain their Ace?

Keep hearing about Romney and Bain. It's all over the news. Apparently, while Romney was at Bain, he routinely stalked and killed women and hid them in the walls, and they are now discovering the bodies! At least, that is the Liberal "spin" on things....or something like that. In any event, it got me to wondering, was THIS the big 'Ace in the Hole' the Democrats had on Romney? You may recall, during the primaries, I predicted Democrats would trot out some juicy morsel on Romney as soon as he had secured the nomination... they were just being too silent on him, while focusing on every other potential challenger. I said all along, I thought they had something big on Romney, and this would come out after the primaries.

Is this it? OR... Is this just the primer? You know, the story beneath the story, the thing that places that seed of doubt in your mind about Romney, for when the REAL thing does roll out? I think it's that. There will be another "Big Revelation" to come, only it won't have much solid evidence behind it, so they need to plant this little seed first, so that you already have some question about Romney, then when you hear the new thing, it will be even more convincing and believable. Just wait... it's coming... mark my words. Bain isn't it, there is something else, and Bain is just the precursor...the set-up pitch, as it were. Expect to hear the NEW thing sometime around OCTOBER.

I don't know if they are that smart....Many times I think we give way too much credit to campaigns and their strategies...Personally I think it is just another distraction without teeth. Something to keep this 'reality show' addled public off the real issue of failure of leadership, failure to right the economy, failure to bring America back to her greatness of leader in the world.

This is name calling, and dirty tricks politics for one reason, and one reason only. Obama can NOT run on his record.

I agree, but ever since the Clinton's, I've seen how they operate. There is a reason we didn't see all the Democrats bashing on Romney during the primaries. Most of them are incredibly dumb, but the 'David Axlerod's' of the bunch are clever strategists. They have something big on Romney, that's why they wanted him to be the GOP nominee from Day 1. This 'thing' they have, can't be rolled out too soon, because if it all plays out before the elections, it's pointless. It has to be sprung at a time, where as such, we don't have the time to examine all the details and get to the bottom of it before casting our votes. And so, we go to the polls not really knowing if Romney is guilty of this 'thing' or not... but I don't think it is Bain, I believe Bain is the groundwork for the REAL thing. It's coming.

These people are SHREWD when it comes to politics. Don't underestimate them. This is the Socialist's chance... never before, and perhaps never again, will Socialists have such an opportunity to transform our nation. You best believe, they plan to win this election. Obama will SPIN his record. We already know this, because he is doing it as we speak! And the thing is, millions of Americans will again go to the polls and vote for this man, based on what he is saying he has done and will do, which he has no intention of doing. They've got this whole thing planned out, and you think you saw excessive use of executive privilege the first term? Wait until you get a load of the second. We will not know America in four years.

I don't doubt that there is some sort of October surprise lurking in the corners. I think the Bain tactic is just an illustration of how desperate the OWEdummyasshole campaign has gotten. They know that if this election is a referendum on OWEbummers policies, he loses in a landslide. That is why they are breaking out the Chicago style politics now. Plus they know that the Olympics will be starting soon and that will take the focus off of politics for a while for most folks.

They are trying to do to Romney what they think was done to Kerry.

The bottom line is this. Romney wasn't even close to my favorite candidate in the primary and in a perfect world, I would sit this election out. But, it is a moral imperative that the GOP take control of the Senate, keep the House and win the White House for two major reasons.

1) Repeal OWEbummercare
2) Two liberal judges on the Supreme Court have one leg in the grave and after Roberts bogus ruling we need to get two reliable Constitutionalists on the court.

Our entire country is at stake this election

Nobody brings out their ace until October...

Anyway, the idea that their campaign is to run against the American Dream of working and becoming rich is IMO full of fail.

“Socialism never took root in America because the poor see themselves not as an exploited proletariat but as temporarily embarrassed millionaires.”
― John Steinbeck

It's more about the American Nightmare of vulture capitalists buying up ailing companies loading them with huge debts and selling them off for vast profits.

Nonsense, playing against the "1%" has very little to do with "vulture capitalism"... Although it will work well to draw a distinct line between government sponsored "vulture capitalism" where 80% of the money for Green Energy went overseas while the companies regularly fail as compared to a company that saved Staples, for instance, and all those jobs currently "saved or created" by venture capitalism.

And that, my friend, pretty much sums up the American predicament.

BINGO!

Think about that.

Millions of us would have rather seen someone other than Romney be the candidate. We're already not hot on the guy. Now comes "Bain-gate" but it's not the BIG thing, we know that is coming in October, as Damo says. My spider senses say, it will be something that causes us to question Romney's integrity in a big way, and since we're already not hot on the guy... we'll stay home.

The Great Big Ugly Romney Skeleton has yet to make it's appearance... But you watch... it's coming.

It's the reason they vote against their own interests.

I am also a frustrated millionaire but I certainly know how to vote to protect my ambitions. Many can't think past the price of their next cigar or six-pack, if you know what I mean.

What people never consider when they talk about companies like Staples is how many other smaller office supply companies were put out of business. Those job losses are never included for obvious reasons.

Mostly because they either got jobs or changed their business model to fit in with the new reality.

The idea that buggy-whip makers need to continue in the name of "the economy" is such a naive view of the world that it seems more like something Ayn Rand would write about the "looters" than something somebody should be using in an argument here...

If we were to make this "the argument", if it made any sense at all, they'd start talking about people who may lose their jobs if "The Green Economy" ever happened along as if it were part of a zero sum game. Oh noooees... gas delivery guys might lose their job...

It's an ignorant argument based on bad assumptions.

Your point might have some validity, but for the fact that contracts are still awarded to defense contractors building obsolete and useless weapons systems.

It's typically an argument based on impossible assumptions. Just more status quo bullshit.

Thanks for the nonsense warning, but I read it anyway.
