There is much more evidence pointing to zimmermans innocence than guilt. Everything has lined up so far with his story.

He never "Chased after martin" - the police officer asked him where he went. Zimmerman went to get an address, so that the police could meet him. If you look at the actual video you'll see the "confrontation" happened 10 feet from his car. Just like he said all along.

Tom I am also baffled. I would hate to think that I were accused of something and mY fate rested in the hands of the people on here that have already decided my guilt. I've said before that I am willing to wait until after the trial to see. But to your last point, I don't know if I would term it "ego" or not, but here is what I do think:

I think that there is a group of people who don't like the law in Florida and they see this as their shot to get it overturned. I think there is another group who are afraid if Zimmerman is guilty it will be overturned. This is how this has become a very politicized case and the sad thing is that lost in all of this is the death of a 17 year old.
