There were economists - Keynsians, obviously - who didn't think the 1st stimulus went nearly far enough. And it still created millions of jobs.
I would actually argue that it's very pro-America to seek more stimulus at this time.

Regardless, your disagreement is ideological. You don't agree w/ that economic theory; I happen to agree with it. As do quite a few others, btw. And if you believe that is the best thing for America, it is certainly pro-America to pursue that.
The thread title is nothing but ODS. I know you'll go ballistic to see that term, but it's true. Because you don't agree w/ the economic philosophy behind the stimulus doesn't make it anti-America.
Also, comparing the Clinton years to the current era is ridiculous, and typical of your apples-to-apples way of looking at things.
Clinton got out of the way when a boom was clearly making its presense known. Not only is there no boom on the horizon at the moment, but Europe is on the verge of collapse. If things get worse there, it's a time for gov't to be proactive - not get out of the way.

did i compare the current economy to clinton years? no. you once again prove you can't read. the clinton economy was not a boom the entire time. you really don't know much about economics. it is really sad.
the government does not need to do much of anything right now with the economy. let it be and it will correct itself and let it continue improving. you don't need massive stimulus when the economy is improving. the last thing we need is more debt. sheesh, you would think that one who claims to be smart you would be able to see that all over the world massive debt is NOT working.
