No lies, we have the text of the actual speech, we have video of the actual speech. We have the statements from those who instituted the ban.

Back a few years ago, the rhetorical left-wing line was "Get government out of the woman's womb!" That was hyperbole, but it was at least somewhat accurate, as the womb does have something to do with this discussion on abortion. Therefore, this hyperbole has been allowed and tolerated. But true to the nature of Liberalism, you have progressively moved the rhetorical line southward, and now we have: "Get government out of the woman's VAGINA!" Even more provocative hyperbole, because... hey, you got away with "womb," why not?

In order for a society or legislature to have "civil discourse" we must limit the use of hyperbole. We have to draw some line in the sand and say, that's enough, it's over the line! Because, if we don't do this, eventually the dialogue devolves into a shouting match of hyperbolic rhetoric, and we can't resolve a thing. We're just screaming shit at each other, and nothing is getting done. So it is VERY patriotic to conscientiously determine appropriate boundaries for hyperbolic rhetoric, and demand those engaging in the discussion, adhere to them.

Hyperbole is when you intentionally exaggerate for effect. The issue of abortion has nothing to do with a woman and her vagina. It MAY have something to do with her womb, but not her vagina! Government is not literally IN a woman's vagina... so we can see, this is CLEARLY a hyperbolic statement and NOT "the truth." Whether or not you have the mental capacity to comprehend this, is not a factor in this argument.

Right, which means the woman's statement was complete hyperbole and had no business being spewed on the legislature floor. For the record, had someone railed on and on during the health care debates, ON THE SENATE FLOOR about Death Panels, they would have been told to sit the fuck down and shut the fuck up. Hyperbolic statements, or outright hyperbole, is perfectly acceptable on a news panel discussion on MSNBC, or in an article from HuffPo, but not when legislators are debating law.
