Racism is alive well in the USA

color of skin trumps content of character. MLK is spinning in his grave so fast, the global warmers should spend some time trying to harness the wasted energy
 
It has always been incredibly humorous and down-right ignorant listening to conservatives trying to define who and what is racist. There isn't a shred of intelligence or even common sense in such folly. Once again, it appears that common sense ain't (eb) common. :0)

Conservatives and republicans have become the icon of racism and the rejection of diversity .. so much so that proof isn't even required. It has simply become one of the knowns about American politics. Need proof .. go look at the collective picture of republicans and conservatives throughout since the era of civil rights .. since the OP uses that period as "proof." That visual demonstration alone defines who and what they are.

That being said, there is good news. The stench of overt racism is so rejected today that even the racists try to use it. :0) That is hilarious.

There is more good news. They are shrinking. They are dependent on the white male demographic .. who have been the main beneficiaries of their hate-filled agenda .. and they are shrinking. As the American popuation continues to become more diverse, the population of white males continue to shrink. The loss of white male domination is something they have long-feared, and its one of the reasons why they hate Obama .. even when he's walking in the footsteps of George Bush. He represents the loss of white male domination.

It's the biggest reason why after more than 400 years of American history, there has still never been a woman as the American president.

The psychology of racism and it's partner, sexism, are easy to figure out.
 
Why would this person ask for money for which he didn't meet the requirements? That's just stupid.
 
Aahhh... I see, the application didn't make it clear. The only mention that the scholarship was only intended for black students was "African-American Students are Encouraged to Apply"...

They plan on making it more clear on the next year's application. He returned it immediately and wasn't attempting to get money he didn't need. Why this is "news" seems of more interest to me.

I think its so incredibility telling....lefties don't know racism even when it hits them square in the face....

Just imagine the opposite.....take a scholarship away from a black student and tell them it was meant only for a white student and watch what happens.....

We have a Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
We have a Black Chamber of Commerce
We have a Black History Month.
We have the United Negro College Fund
We have Black Entertainment Television Network....
We have a Miss Black American pageant, white woman not allowed
We have over 60 openly proclaimed Black Colleges in the USA

Take any one of those an replace Black with White and watch the ramifications.....


It is undeniable that racism is alive and well in the USA, and the dreams of those that of us that recognize and despise racism,
and the dreams of Dr. M. L. King are long dead....

Now you all can commence with the name calling, etc., it won't bother me a bit, ..... but whatever you do, don't address the content of the post.....

BAC gave us a nice rant.....didn't address the issue in op.....and was just a common litany of general accusations against whites .....

diversity and sexism aren't even relevant to the stated issue.....therefore

I didn't think it even deserved a serious response......it was more a post I'd expect from our "troll".....

Not like the BAC from the old days.....

BAC's post was insanely articulate, and keenly insightful. It is really the antithesis of what you usually post.

And I'm not even kidding; when I saw that post on this thread, I was very appreciative. My "thanks" is genuine. Because this board is sorely lacking in posters who can write like that, and convey ideas like that. It's good to have BAC back.

It was nice rant.....I said that the first time.....irrelevant to the topic, but articulate like you say....

and it is good to have him back......but he conveyed no ideas, just old repetitive anti-white claims....he ranted against whites and Conservatives....thats all....

He's actually one of the smartest people we've ever had post here although he is divergent hugely from my personal opinions. He isn't a schill for the democrats for one. He's honestly socialist and unapologetic of that fact.

I understood the joke, however BAC didn't deserve that. ;) <- winky is for when and if poet ever reads this post... I was being mildly sarcastic.

I did indeed address the OP my friend .. AND, sexism and diversity does indeed matter, although they may not be your favorite topics. Trying to narrowly define what is racist not only supports exactly what I said, it also betrays the absolute falsehood of the OP.

The OP suggests that democrats were racist because the dixiecrat wing of the then Democratic Party stood in the way of racial progress. Yet, I repeat, democrats had more African-Americans in Congress in 1969 then republicans have had collectively since 1969. How does that not address the OP?

Tell me how one makes such a silly claim when this is the reality?

Republicans have never had that many African-Americans in Congress since the days of Reconstruction .. and they never will.

There is NO comparison to the number of elected black democrats in comparison to elected black republicans .. which would include a black president.

Unless you believe that blacks don't need black representation, I fail to see where you make a logical point on this issue. I fail to see where republicans have lived up to the thoughts of Dirksen.

Additionally, my post was not a rant against white people, but rather the truth about the Republican Party. The two are not the same thing. White females have always been ahead of the racist curve.

Racism is alive and well in the US, but it's concentrated within the Republican Party and its supporters .. which is not to suggest that all republicans are racist.

How members of a nearly all-white political party point fingers at the other guys and call THEM racist is as I said .. humorous to the nth degree and mindbogglingly ignorant.

I am not a democrat, nor do I support this president .. but truth stands all by itself.
