god high school kids are the dumbest fucking people on the planet. are there add riddled brains this distracted that they have to pretend like they are changing the world? They should have stuck to lowering prices on the vending machines or lobbied to get some new soccer balls or something.
I'm just... I don't know how to respond. Ya high school students are stupid, but it's ok because they don't get smarter with age, they just get more certain they're right. They go to college, get a job and occasionally vote for the wrong people(IE they vote).

It's probably just because there's no smart women in television news. Honestly when I watch the news the one thing that never fails to strike me is how smart the men are. I often say to myself, but my God! how did they gather the best and the brightest the world over into television news?? It's like, save some smart for the other professions would ya? I mean, what about nuclear science and cancer research and stuff? Who's supposed to figure all that out when the smartest people in the world, who just happen to be men, are all reading a teleprompter on ABC?

Anyway, that's why there hasn't been a woman moderator in a Presidential debate since 1992. (And btw, when was the last one before that????)

There's nothing to see here.

Too funny... You really think Matt Lauer is smart? George Snuffalupogous? Sam Donaldson? Really? You just put them on a scale with nuclear scientist and cancer researchers? Most of these cats are doing what they do, because they aren't smart enough to do anything else. Women in the biz, ain't much better.

As for debate moderators... I fail to see why it matters if it's a woman. I certainly would expect an impartial man to ask the candidates questions regarding women's issues, I don't think we must have a woman to do that. I tend to think of the moderator as someone who can at least pretend impartiality, and for some reason, I always think of Chris Wallace as the ultimate prototype for a debate moderator. Tim Russert, before he passed away, was very good at moderating debates. But I also liked the old McNeil/Leher guy, before he went insane.

I wish we would go 'old school' with the debates, where the moderator merely played referee between the two candidates, who asked each other questions, etc. To me, that type of debate between the two men who are running for president, is the best kind. Lincoln-Douglass.. Nixon-Kennedy.. When the candidates could put each other on the spot, and actually score political points in doing so... Nowadays, it is so generic and canned. Candidates have entire speeches prepared for every answer for every question that will be asked, it is merely a matter of delivering what has already been packaged. Few surprises, and mostly boring.

Women I'd like to see moderate in the current forum, if I had to pick... I can only think of one, Barbara Walters. I honestly don't think I could physically stomach Katie Couric....maybe for the sake of my country... but it would be a great sacrifice.

Ooo.. wait... I thought of another... Condoleeza Rice!
