There was a similar case, many years ago, where a landlord was taking the same stance with Blacks and it was determined that he was still in violation; because there was testimony taht if he hadn't made his "beliefs" known to potential renters, that they would have completed the forms.
The Courts ruled that he was attempting to do an "end run".

I can pretty much guarantee that if this soldier was black and the landlord let it be known that he was a racist and the soldier then didn't complete the form, that the liberal moonbats would be all over it.

if that is the case, no pun intended, then i take it back.

why is it liberals are defending this lady then? zappa is going ballistic to defend her. you're right though, had this person been black, zappa would have claimed the LL is a conservative and a racist.

I have no problem with her beliefs and/or convictions; but she needs to be ready for any consequences that may result from her exercising them, especially when it's against the law.

i agree with you. as i said before, had this person been black or hispanic or any non "white"....liberals would be up in arms. i'm surmising that is how the case you mentioned was filed. and the case is accurate.

for example, if i walk into target and ask for a job application and they tell me, we don't hire your skin color, and i don't fill out an application because of that, they have most certainly violated the law. the law is there for a reason, and it is for reasons like this. you can be a racist, hate veterans etc...but you cannot deny people certain rights.

i can only hope for and imagine a world, where one day, skin color doesn't matter, beliefs don't matter, we can all accept each other as human and learn to live together.

I think I would have approached this a little differently. After hearing that voicemail, I would have asked her if she had any RPGs or AK-47s hanging around, or if she was in the habit of burying IEDs in the parking lot, because THAT'S the kind of shit that makes ME "uncomfortable". After that, I'd fill out the damned rental application, move in, and wash my car in uniform every weekend, just to piss her off.

But as USF likes to point out to people so very often...what some people "feel" is not important...all that matters is that she treats all potential renters equally.

So once again we see that whenever it's a conservative making an allegation. they are allowed to do so without providing any evidence to back their claim...but whenever any Liberal wants to make an assertion, it had better be accompanied by corroborating evidence...in TRIPLICATE...exclusively from sources deemed acceptable by conservatives.
