How many of you had heard of these things? Okay, the dog eating, but only because it was written about recently by the conservative Daily Caller. It’s pretty clear the press in 2008 forgot to use its fine-tooth comb on Obama’s memoir.


You know, the comb that found the scissors that cut that kid’s hair when Romney was in high school back in 1922 or whatever.

Another reason they weren't newsworthy is Obama is not ranting about the evils of such.

When people question why news involving Republicans make headlines Newt is the perfect example. A two-timing two timer having cheated on two wives over a decade or more and accused of wanting an open marriage getting on stage preaching about the family values. If Obama came out and, for example, said any kid in college caught using drugs should be immediately expelled and ranted on about the drug war then his flirt with drugs would make a story.

It's one thing to do something "unethical/bad/frowned upon by society" and be quiet about it and quite another to go around the country preaching how bad that particular thing is. It's called hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy:

1. a pretense of having a virtuous character, moral or religious beliefs or principles, etc., that one does not really possess.

2. a pretense of having some desirable or publicly approved attitude.

People who practice hypocrisy are known as hypocrites. Ergo, Republicans tend to be hypocrites making their stories newsworthy.
