Why do right wingers hated education?

I do not accept the premise of your fantasy world where it is remotely common for high school graduates to self-teach themselves quantuum physics, higher mathematics, and advanced laboratory genetics.

I however do accept your tacit admission that your life, and all the technology and public infrastructure you rely on, renders you utterly independent people with college and graduate school degrees.

I could teach a physics geek to change a tire in ten minutes.

There is zero chance you could sit down with books and teach youself professional competency in higher mathematics and physics in years of attempts.

Without googling it, you probably don't even know which way to turn the spinners (found on older Corvettes) or the lug nuts on an older Chrysler.

SO FIX WISCONSIN. THEY ARE REQUIRED TO MEET STATE STANDARDS IN INDIANA.

VOUCHERS AREN'T "DEFUNDING" ANYTHING.

THEY LEAVE HALF OF THE FUNDING FOR A PUBLIC SCHOOL STUDENT WITH THE PUBLIC SCHOOL, OFR A STUDENT THTA IS NO LONGER THERE.

INDIANA? A shit hole flyover state

very impressive!

You are truly highly educated to know that! A true mark of education! Everyone is in awe!!!!!

You should be in awe. You're just a lying bigoted America hating racist that lives in the wishful dream of being a machinist.

I am sure I could figure it out in five minutes

The takeaway here is the mechanical skill sets anti-education Deplorables percieve that college geeks lack are not all that hard to acquire.

A physics geek could be taught to fix a toilet and perform rudimentary car maintainance in a weekend.

There is exactly zero chance Deplorable high school dropouts would be able to self-learn the quantum physics principles necessary for mobile phone, GPS, computer and high def television technology.

On the flip side, vocational skills result in honorable work. Not everyone has the interest or desire to be a plumber or welder and it is good some people do.

Maybe after you broke an ear or snapped a lug nut off.

You obviously don't know anything about mechanical skills. there's much more to them than you might think.

More proof you don't know.

Myself, other than math, as a machinist, there's more to learn than I've learned doing it all my life from those who have done it all theirs. Physics principals aren't necessary, knowledge of metal compositions (for one of a vast number of other things) are, though.

Of course they are honorable work. I've seen "book smart" people with no common sense. Engineers can design and draw a part, but they don't know how to make it.

I have changed car tires at least six dozen times in my life -- but I will take your word for it that there is a top secret method for changing Corvette tires only those in the secret club know about.

Blue collar work is honorable work. I am responding to the Deplorables who are disparaging a college education. I did not go to college to make fun of you. I went because I consider education first and foremost a form of self-improvement, and secondly to allow me to pursue career interests which are not possible with a high school diploma.

You are typing words on an internet invented and designed by PhD computer scientists and mathematicians.

The electricity you are using is thanks to an electrical system designed by college educated engineers.

Your GPS technology, your smart phone technology, your high def television depends on the principles of physics worked out and designed by university educated physicists.

Every time you go to the doctor or dentist, you are at the mercy of university educated medical professionals.

The car you drive, the roads you drive on, the agricultural products you eat are thanks to college educated civil engineers, mechanical engineers, geneticists, soil scientists, meteorologists.

Every minute of the day, every day of every year, your life is utterly at the mercy of college and university educated professionals. It takes vocational work and scientific research to make civilization function.

Yet you don't know there's a left hand (on the passenger's side) and a right hand thread (on the driver's side), did you? But that wasn't the point.

The point is that those without college degrees aren't "uneducated deplorables," nor are they ignorant of the fact that college grads are intelligent.
