Your GPS technology, your smart phone technology, your high def television depends on the principles of physics worked out and designed by university educated physicists.
Every time you go to the doctor or dentist, you are at the mercy of university educated medical professionals.
The car you drive, the roads you drive on, the agricultural products you eat are thanks to college educated civil engineers, mechanical engineers, geneticists, soil scientists, meteorologists.
Every minute of the day, every day of every year, your life is utterly at the mercy of college and university educated professionals.
You sound like you have an inferiority complex. I did not go to college to make fun of you. I went because I consider education first and foremost a form of self-improvement, and secondly to allow me to pursue career interests which are not possible with a high school diploma.

It’s not that we hate education it’s that we hate what has become of it. It’s to the point that any kid that comes out of college who doesn’t have at least some socialist inclinations should be congratulated for their stubbornness.

Notice how the claim that education has been ruined for political purposes cant even get a hearing in modern America. Neither can most other claims that the elite have failed....the elite run the systems....they are not interested in any complaints...

Regardless of home gets blamed I’m surprised more parents aren’t outraged over it. Spend close to six figures on your kids diploma and they come out with more of an ideology than an education.
It’s an outrage and we’ve watched go on for about 20 years now.
The ignorance that once universities failed they became evil is partly willful, partly no one feels like it is in their interests to talk about it. We cant do things just because they are the right thing to do anymore....that is not how Dark Ages roll.

What educated person could watch Trump, his administration, and its actions and not wonder what! All Trump had to do for his base is call honest reporting fake news and he had them. Watch OAN or Newsmax some time if you want fake news, but they are pro Trump so they must be right. But the issue is of course deeper than Trump. Compare Finnish education where educators are admired and you see a key element. Americans think they know it all already. How does an open, free education become a value here? That's the hard part.
