This thread is based on the false premise that Republicans hate education.
Many Democrats and Republicans are critical of education because of low standards and wasteful spending. Teachers' unions (largely Democratic) criticize spending for having too many administrators (students and faculty numbers remain steady while the number of administrators increase), high spending on sports and stadiums.
Criticism does not mean hate but a desire to improve.

in my 54 years of life, i've met a lot of left and right wingers with college degrees who thought they were educated...........son, let me tell you that a degree doesn't mean jack in most circles. Of those with a degree, I wouldn't trust most of you to get my order right at a drive through of wienerschnitzels.........much less try anything more complicated. I've learned more, done more, and experienced more than most of you ever will in your pathetic wasted lives.
