Top US doctor says coronavirus now an ‘outbreak,’ possibly a ‘pandemic’

Trumps were in Atlantic City . One closed. The others are under new ownership. The only 3 that went under were owned by daffy.b His borrowing was so bad that a casino could not keep up with his self imposed debt.
Trump broke them when nobody else was in financial trouble. The other Atlantic city casinos are still in operation.

The ones on the Las Vegas strip are still in operation. ALL of the Atlantic City casinos were also in bankruptcy recently.

It's actually pretty easy for a casino to go bankrupt. You obviously are not familiar with the casino business either.

I've noticed that Nerdberg appears to have very few ideas about many things.

BTW, although Trump has never filed for personal bankruptcy, he has filed for business bankruptcy.

In fact, during a 2016 Republican debate, Trump observed (correctly) that “hundreds of companies” have done the same thing. Trump responded to the criticism by arguing that businesses often have to file for bankruptcy and that filing for bankruptcy was a financially sound move each time he did it.

There is considerable validity to Trump’s points about business bankruptcy being in the best interests of companies.

Trump has filed for business bankruptcy four times: the Trump Taj Mahal in 1991, Trump Plaza Hotel in 1992, Trump Hotels and Casinos Resorts in 2004 and Trump Entertainment Resorts in 2009. Each time, the bankruptcy was a Chapter 11 filing. While Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 bankruptcy deal with personal bankruptcies, Chapter 11 is most often used by businesses filing for bankruptcy.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy allows a financially struggling business to reorganize in order to keep going. A Chapter 11 filing can potentially enable a business owner to avoid liquidating the company. In fact, it can often be said that a Chapter 11 bankruptcy is in the best interests of the business and in no way a reflection of a poorly run company.

Even leftist-leaning PolitiFact took a look at all four of Trump’s Chapter 11 bankruptcies and determined that they were a result of business struggles largely beyond the billionaire-turned-presidential-candidate’s control.

You have it exactly. ALL of the Atlantic casinos have also recently filed for Chapter 11 bankrupcy. So have ALL of the casinos on the Las Vegas strip.

Casinos commonly go bankrupt. It's a people industry. The incredible payroll these places have to meet, as well as the buildings themselves (including the opulent looking 'front of house' the tourists see), makes the daily costs on these places quite incredible. Then there are the loans for expansions to pay for.
It doesn't take much of a downturn in the gambling income these places make to put them in the red.

Shhh. Don't tell Nerdberg, it'll burst his bubble.

Well that is simply not true. Did the Caesar's go bankrupt? No, it has been generating profits for 40 years. Did Bally's go bankrupt? No, it has been generating profits for 40 years. Did Harrah's go bankrupt? No, again it has been generating a profit for almost 40 years.

I could go on and on, but the Tropicana is the most instructive. It was terribly mismanaged, and even had its license held for a few months, and it did not go bankrupt. trump did even worse than the Tropicana, which has many in Atlantic City amazed.

What about Las Vegas? Strip property is so valuable, it is basically impossible to go bankrupt there. You will always be able to sell the property at a profit.

Actually, no they didn't.
Yes, they did.
trump tried to get a government enforced monopoly and FAILED.
Trump is a proper noun. It is capitalized. He never had a monopoly on anything, nor tried to create one through the government.
he lacked the business ability to compete with others, so FAILED.
He IS competing with others and he is succeeding. I know that makes you angry, but too bad for you.

Well that is simply not true.
It is true.
Did the Caesar's go bankrupt?
Yes.
No, it has been generating profits for 40 years.
No.
Did Bally's go bankrupt?
Yes.
No, it has been generating profits for 40 years.
No.
Did Harrah's go bankrupt?
Yes.
No, again it has been generating a profit for almost 40 years.
No.
I could go on and on,
And you could continue to show your own cluelessness about bankruptcy law and business.
but the Tropicana is the most instructive. It was terribly mismanaged, and even had its license held for a few months, and it did not go bankrupt.
Yes it did. It was sold in that bankruptcy too.
trump did even worse than the Tropicana, which has many in Atlantic City amazed.
Trump is a proper noun. It is capitalized. You are only showing your illiteracy. Trump properties are making money.
What about Las Vegas?
What about it?

WRONG. It's very easy to go bankrupt there.
You will always be able to sell the property at a profit.
Chapter 11 bankruptcy does not require liquidation of the property. You are showing your illiteracy again.

Yes, they did.

I had no problem listing three that did not go bankrupt, so they did not "all" go bankrupt. In fact, only two or three others have ever gone bankrupt. The Revel and Sands went bankrupt. Atlantic Club's owner went bankrupt, but the casino itself was still profitable.

Lets add a few to the not bankrupt list: Borgata did not go bankrupt. The Showboat was closed, but did not go bankrupt. Sands has not gone bankrupt.

Trump is a proper noun. It is capitalized.

Or what? Will you burst into tears?

No.No.No.No.No.No.

You are in denial. The fact is most non-trump casinos in Atlantic City did not go bankrupt.

Trump properties are making money.

Does trump even own a casino anymore?

Most of "trump's" new properties are just branding situations where his name is slapped on someone else's building.

Chapter 11 bankruptcy does not require liquidation of the property. You are showing your illiteracy again.

If you are a Strip casino, you can simply sell your property and pay your debts. Strip property is in high demand.
