I doubt anyone masters zen.

Some are just better at it than others. I have my good moments and less good ones.
I was raised a Christian but became an agnostic and then a full blown atheist by age 15. Even had a family intervention with my parents, church elders and me. Everyone was very nice but I was firm. About a year later I had a near death experience. No, I didn't see Jesus or God, but it changed my views. It was also the reason I studied Behavioral Psychology in college along with a lot of experiments and studies in altered states of consciousness to replicate the experience. I never did replicate the experience, but I did find myself on a spiritual path. Eastern philosophies attracted me the most, but most are too dogmatic for me. Zen was different, especially as taught by Alan Watts.
As you know, several do come here to trash talk. I pity those poor tortured souls. No one can help them but themselves. They choose the path they are upon and they can change it anytime they like.
Thanks for the welcome.
