That's not a complete picture of reality.

The part of the picture that the modern day right does its best to ignore is that Jim Crow was a SOCIAL CONSERVATIVE invention which found a new home in the REPUBLICAN PARTY after it was no longer welcome in the Democratic Party.
 
As we all know, the insane libtards distort history with relentless negativity, fixating on America’s flaws (often false) while all but ignoring its triumphs. They overlook the United States’ decisive role in ending slavery using our amazing Constitution and blood, sweat, and tears, despite fierce resistance from Democrats. The same idiots clinging to DEI today defended slavery so vehemently that it took over 600,000 lives, to dismantle it.

Of course, the brain-dead morons conveniently forget that slavery was a global norm for millennia, spanning every race and culture, from ancient Rome to pre-colonial Africa and even the Native Americans. The U.S. wasn’t slightly unique in having slaves, but it was unique in abolishing slavery through moral and legal conviction.

Sadly, today’s youth are being indoctrinated by bitter hate-filled libtards in our schools. They are taught that America was uniquely evil, as if no other society practiced slavery. Ask anyone aged 15 to 30, most are clueless about the history of slavery, they think it was capitalism and free markets that led to America sailing around looking for dark skinned people and snatching them up, creating the whole evil mess out of what they think was American greed. I'm not joking, I've asked a variety of young skulls full of mush and was shocked (not really) by their ignorance. It's really sad.

The truth is, many on the left still love slavery, they secretly fantasize about imposing forced labor on political opponents, like Trump supporters. If given the chance they would send us all to places that make Alligator Alcatraz look like the Ritz Carlton. Of course, if they had their way and implemented the policies they dream about, forced labor would be needed to prop up the inevitable failures, as it always is when socialism and communism is tried.

They've always been enamored by dictators and brutal communist regimes, including the Soviet Union and Putin's Russia until of course Trump came along, then Hillary and Obama invented the Russia hoax, instantly causing the libtard cult to turn against a dictator for the first time in recent history. Where was it Bernie went for his honeymoon??

So,the Smithsonian, as a national institution, must reject the current distorted narrative. It should showcase America’s achievements, like leading the fight against slavery, over its shortcomings. The museum’s displays and narrative must reflect reality. The United States has far more to be proud of than ashamed of, period. Anything less is a betrayal of truth.

And a higher percentage of the Republican party voted for it than the Democrat party did. It would have never passed without the Republicans. So what is your point?

  • In the House of Representatives, 80% of Republicans voted in favor of the Act, compared to 61% of Democrats.
  • In the Senate, 82% of Republicans voted in favor, while 69% of Democrats did the same. The overall vote in the Senate was 73-27.
