And bingo. Identity politics, group politics, issue politics and etc, is all about ‘what have you done for me lately?’ Trump asked the black community a brilliant question during the campaign when he said ‘what have you got to lose?’

The dirty little secret is Democrats have owned the black vote for so long that they thought it was a given. A Clinton could call young black males ‘super predators’ and basically get away with it. But those days are gone.

I’ll also go out on a limb and say the majority of blacks don’t care one way or another about CW statues—because they are no different than white people. The Crusaders antics won’t provide them jobs or put food on their table—but Trump seems to be doing ok in that regard.

Democrats need to wake up to the danger they’re in. If they lose even a third of the black vote they are in bad trouble in national elections. I know it’s Rasmussen, but their polling shows 36% of blacks support Trump. Even if that number is inflated by ten points—it’s huge.

Let them celebrate the Crusaders.

The university is paying the price of harboring an honor to racism. They should have removed it decades ago.
The lesson these kids learned is more valuable than anything they could have gotten in a classroom. They have learned that they don't need to accept the status quo in the racist south anymore.
They are teaching us the value of their responsibility to humanity.
I feel much better about UNC knowing that there are students there with this much responsibility and bravery.

Sorry but you are the one who is wrong "The statue was funded by the University Alumni and the United Daughters of the Confederacy." but was commissioned by the UNC trustees meaning UNC owned the statue. Thanks for playing.
