Legal mechanisms were in place to have the statue removed if that were to be the decision arrived at by lawful process.

The "mechanisms" were 105 years too late in coming.This was not vandalism this was the opposite of vandalism.
These brave heroes took the bull by the horns and reversed 105 years of the foot dragging racist agenda.
As a nation we all owe them a debt of gratitude for being so brave.

That racist's statue is a symbol of that failed past and these kids refuse to live under it.
