Actually preemption was the policy Bush used to invade Iraq. Equally as stupid but it wasn't based on Exceptionalism. Exceptionalism is just another word for nationalism. History has been pretty stark about where nationalism leads.
Exactly, and that is why Bushnwas able to sell the country on the idea that we needed to remove Saddam and try to instill our frm of governing in their country and that they had weapons of mass destruction which only the United States d allowed to have because we are the only nation and these we approve who will use them responsibly. His idea that the AuSA could do no wrong. The notion that we are #1 and our wy of life and oing things is superior to others.
Well, I beg to disagree, they also used the concept that Saddam was a bad leader and our form of Democracy was superior to the way Saddam was running his country. They pushed American superiority and people bought it. It was used along with the argument of weapons of mass destruction.

As I was saying, a Torie was loyal to (and later, accused of being loyal to) the British in colonial times, and that still holds true today.

Yea well the news may be slow in getting out there to the Appalachia of the Pacific Coast but the Revolutionary war ended 200 years ago.
