I got caught with my pants down myself one time,...as a senior in high school. Big party at some girls house,....everything going great,....until her parents decided to pull a fast one on her and come back from out of town a couple days early! We were in the bedroom,...she saw the car lights pulling in,....next thing......" OH NO ITS MY PARENTS!" I played it pretty cagey though......I waited till they got to the front door and heard them step in.....as soon as they were in I jumped out of her bedroom window and ran my ass off to my car,....fired that sucker up and burned rubber!

I have some property in the Florida panhandle. No basements there either. Up here where my main residence Is EVERYBODY has a basement. If you didn't your house would be much colder, unless you had in floor hydronic heat. The nice thing is with a full basement you can do what I did here and partition it in half leaving one side unfinished for mechanicals, laundry and storage and finish off the other side for livable space. Mine is finished off as a man cave with a bar, gas stone fireplace and all the amenities. PLUS you have a built in Tornado shelter.

Yeah I have a tornado shelter installed in my garage. I have a college buddy that had his home literally flattened down around him while he hide under his bed. I'm not playing that game.

Yep. That's scary stuff. My friend has the kind where its basically a huge steel box big enuff to fit his family that is bolted to the concrete floor.
