Racist LA Clippers Owner Donald Sterling is a Democrat, What else is new?

Probably not merrily.

But it is what it is. Do you really think the NBA has no right to dismiss this guy for his comments...that as a league, they can't make that kind of determination? Do you think the government should step in to prevent this?

If you had bothered to read all my comments, on this thread, I've stated that the guy is an idiot and I've never said a word about what the NBA should or shouldn't do.
My comments had to do with what a person says in private - IN PRIVATE.
As to what the NBA has now decided to do; I predict is going to open a can of worms that's going to come back and bite them.

As confident as I, a mere human can be. I mentioned one time, albeit jokingly, about shooting priests or something and christiefan called me on it but if someone pulled that up and read it in context I am confident they could see it as the mundane comment I meant it for. I also said something one time about going home to shave and grease my balls (it was muzzleloader deer season) but that is something my mom or my boss would have laughed at. Naked Gun sort of humor...makes me laugh. I may be extremely conservative but I am not a complete prude...most of the time. ;)

So who says your boss has to see these comments as "joking"?

I've read your comments, against my better judgment. They've been confusing & weird.

And you seem to be saying above that you don't think the NBA should have done this, unless you think it's a good idea for them to do things that will come back and bite them.

And going by your earlier weird & confusing inquiries...what solid, indisputable proof do you have that these actions will come back to bite them? No opinion allowed here - just links & clear proof.

Companies started pulling sponsorships, many fans were going to boycott tonight and word has come out the players were going to boycott tonight's game. Having a team boycott a game during the playoffs would be a pretty big deal. What do you think should have been done?

You seem to have a habit of asking questions, in an attempt to avoid addressing the ones asked of you; but I'll respond.
The NBA should have acted on his PUBLIC BEHAVIOR, a long time before now.

Now; since I've answered yours, could you try to focus on what you were asked?

So if your boss called you into their office and said you were being fired, over a comment you made here, you would have no problem with it and would just go merrily on your way?

In a case like this where private words become public are people suppose to act like they don't hear them or just forget that they heard them? Not asking in a snarky manner.

You attempting to appear "confused" over what I've said, just proves to me that my comments have challenged what you initially thought was a good idea.

Well, you can certainly let my comment do that if it picks you up today. But it was still crazy weird how you kept interrogating cawacko on why he was right from the get-go.

If his comments had a provable direct affect on the business (NBA), then my opinion would be that they had a concrete basis for their actions; but it would need to be something that had an affect for longer then 3 or 4 days.

Now, I reiterate:
So if your boss called you into their office and said you were being fired, over a comment you made here, you would have no problem with it and would just go merrily on your way?

Your questions to me all related to how did I know this punishment was coming. I answered.

Your question is apples and oranges because the NBA has the right to suspend owners for actions detrimental to the league. Sterling's words have been extremely detrimental to the league. What I say on here as cawacko has no effect on my employer other than me wasting time and not working.

I do wonder what's going to happen to this gold digger. If she can secretly record someone and get away with it that is not good news. What would a possible punishment be for what she did?

Change the locks. No more plastic surgery should take care of the rest.

You made a statement that this WAS NOT going to blow over, prior to the NBA announcement, when this entire situation wasn't even a week old yet.
Then you acted like you KNEW that this was what the NBA was going to do.

What basis did you use to determine that this wasn't going to blow over?

who gives a flying fuck why are you obsessed with such minutia

i have read from various spots on the interwebs that forcing him out may be harder than suggested. Apparently you can't just vote away an owners rights just because of something he said. It has to be like a crisis (not pr crisis) re: the team and like if a teams profitability is tanking etc. And they would have to prove it. This is entirely uncharted territory and it's not going to be an easy thing for them to do if he wants to fight.

but even if he keeps the team he wont be able to make any decisions. he can only make money from it and nothing else.

i believe it's actually illegal to record someone in cali without consent. she could be in trouble.
