Not necessarily, depends on the owner. Some owners are hands off while some are very involved in the day-to-day activities.

You may not understand the basics of the Constitution. As long as its not the government suspending this guy, the First Amendment does not apply.

I have always been amazed how long Magic survived with AIDS because he was diagnosed before protease inhibitors were commercially available. He must have used his 1% status to get access to investigational drugs

The fact that they just announced he was suspended from the NBA for life, fined $2.5 million dollars and they're going to try and force him to sell the team gives me a pretty good indication this isn't blowing over.

How could Magic be worse? As cawacko said, the Clippers have one of the worst records over time of any sports organization. Look up some Bill Simmons columns on that club; they have made more disastrous moves than anyone should be allowed to make.

As for Magic's HIV, we don't live in a communist country, like you guys are always saying. It's a capitalist nation, and he earned his cash, so I hardly blame him for using it to stay alive.
