The most beloved, admired, and popular leaders for Republicans in the last two generations have been Donald Trumpf, Sarah Palin, George Dumbya Bush, and Bedtime for Bonzo.

Nitwits, half wits, and barely articulate numbskulls all...by presidential standards.

We have enough data now to conclusively say that, in general, Republicans literally admire, hold in utmost esteem, and worship ignorance and dull-wittedness.

It's almost as if they fear and loathe intelligence and those who have it. Kind of strange, since history has shown over and over that the most venial of human beings don't tend to be hugely intelligent. Instead, they possess the ability to mesmerize and convince followers of their genius and righteousness.

When one thinks about the history of conservatism, there is a theme here.

Throughout the arc of history, and even in to today, conservatives and reactionaries have always resisted the education of peasants, serfs, blacks, women. They fought tooth and nail to keep literacy, education, and scholarship limited to the elite, the gentry, the monied classes.
Because conservatives knew full well that education would lead the "underserving" masses to start asking questions, to start to think about liberty, to start thinking about equality, and to cross-examine the prevailing socio-economic status quo of the day.

Well, that's my story and I am sticking with it!

Which is what makes it all the more astounding when today's Reichwingers quote the Founding Fathers as though they were gods, when in fact they were radical liberals wanting to overthrow the way things had always been done. Some of them are so stupid that they think that voting in an inexperienced, incompetent TV game show host is doing the same thing that the Revolution accomplished.

He didn’t want Palin for his running mate, he wanted Joe Lieberman. He was talked into Palin by Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace. They weren’t allowed at his funerals, either.

Apparently though one night the gods were drinking and flinging peanut shells at Earth. Thus the smart-ass country was graced with eight years of classy, civil, intelligent, and rational leadership. The gods, however, will never be thwarted for long. Loki sent DD DC to live in the body of a NYC sewer rat, where she remains to this day. Now they were free to send the Cretin of all Cretins!

She did do a lot of whining, blaming the campaign(indirectly John) for all of her ills but never seemed to thank them for 15 mins of fame & reality tv breaks...

There has been a long & low strain of anti-intellectualism that the smarter folks running the party have been successfully able to exploit..

Not everyone in the gop nor supporting trumpf is, but enough are to keep limbaugh, fox/hannity & the rest of the mini-angry dragons afloat.....

I don't follow any of them, but I don't know of any of these pundits that aren't pandering to emotions & then mostly anger, fear etc..... But hey, it works..
