Washington (CNN) Former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort has agreed to cooperate with the Justice Department, including in special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.

Manafort will plead guilty to one count of conspiracy against the US and one count of conspiracy to obstruct justice due to attempts to tamper with witnesses, according to a court filing Friday.

Prosecutor Andrew Weissmann told the judge Manafort's plea agreement is a "cooperation agreement," and other charges will be dropped at sentencing at "or at the agreement of successful cooperation." The scope of the cooperation was not immediately clear.

Manafort had proffered information to the government already, Weissmann said in court.
President Donald Trump is not mentioned in Friday's filing, nor is Manafort's role in his campaign.

Oh, so tell me if I got this straight, Trump selected and appointed as second in command of his own Justice Dept a known member of this supposed "deep state" which again is supposedly out to get him? That would make it even worse

Probably doesn't have anything directly to do with Trump, but, as we all know, Manaford was Trump's campaign chairman when a lot of the questionable activity with Russia was occurring, he was in that now infamous Trump Tower meeting, not to mention Manaford's knowledge of Trump's financial dealings.

Bottom line, today is not a good day in the White House, expect a tweet storm come Sunday morning

Don't you get it? EVERYONE is in on this treasonous coup. The only trustworthy individual is Dear Leader Trump himself! He was chosen by the one true Christian God to bless America and smite it's enemies (ie: every other country EXCEPT Russia, we should totally be cool with them).
