Let's Revisit Canada as the 51st State

Maybe, instead of referring to Canada as our 51st State, we need to be referring to Alberta as our 51st State. Alberta and Saskatchewan are apparently overly frustrated with Canada over Federal policies and unfair taxation. Albertans would love to be prosperous like a US State, and the idea of receiving US Federal funding for free is hard to ignore. Alberta is fed up with Canada and Trump is offering attractive incentives. Of course, Seskatchewan is in the same boat, but is playing it a little more cautiously, waiting to see what Alberta will do.

I predict Alberta will come in at #51, and Saskatchewan at #52.

Well, Canada just elected another leftist dumbass to run their country off the cliff. Why would we want them?
The answer to your very good question is that now, the price of acquiring Canada will drop like Safemoon during the Christmas holidays, as Canadians watch their economy, jobs and national net worth go down the shitter, and they end up throwing themselves at the US. Being a Canadian will mean being tortured on the rack, and eventually they will break, screaming "Enough of this Canada shit! Let's join the US already!"

I get it, it's not that way right now. Just give the Liberal party some time to totally fuqk Canada up. You have a front row seat. Grab your soda and your popcorn and watch the train wreck in slow motion. It's Canada's liberal party, what other result do you imagine is even possible? Do you suspect they will sufficiently tank their economy into prosperity? You know that all those 4,000/day illegal immigrants that now WON'T be entering the US will just roll up north where they will be graciously welcomed ... and the Quickening will begin.

Now is the time to sell Canada short; the price will be going down like the express elevator to hell. Do you have your 3D glasses?

I just can't make up my mind which of you two is the wackiest; you or Bai Lan; you two are a couple of schizos for sure.

In this case, Trump's "trolling" highlights the fact that Canada cannot survive on its own as an independent economy. (at least not at the standard of living that they currently enjoy, because their current standard of living depends upon mooching off of OUR economy... Notice how they're now trying to buddy up to the EU, looking for someone else to mooch off of? I digress.) Trump's point with his "trolling" is that, if Canada's economy depends upon mooching off of OUR economy, then they might as well become a US state (ergo, the jabs about "Governor Trudeau", "51st State", etc).
Even the Europeans are fed up w/ Canada's mooching in regards to their NATO contribution.
As far as Alberta, they resemble Wyoming, North Dakota and Montana more than the rest of Canada.

I explained that in my post. They can recapture US subsidy that they are now losing along with achieving representation in US Congress as opposed to Canadian Parliament.
What US subsidy are you talking about?
Too funny! Let's take a look at average household incomes:

North Dakota: $75,949 USD
South Dakota: $72,421 USD
Montana: $69,922 USD
Alberta: $57,000 USD
It seems you don't know what Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma are since you think they are Montana, ND and SD.
Canada has shitty healthcare. Sure, it's free, but completely unavailable. Canadians either have to pay through the nose for private healthcare on top of the unacceptably suffocating taxes that they currently pay, or come to the United States and pay additional costs, if they want anything available.

In Alberta they make $57,000 US after they have paid taxes and paid for health care. What is the median income in ND after paying for health care?

Why would Alberta want to become part of the US since their citizens already have higher income and better health care than Mississippi, Oklahoma, Alabama and several other US southern states?
Canadian health care sucks, with it's high costs and extremely long wait times (years!). Alberta does not have better health care than any State of the Union.

He simply did the same thing you did. Cherry picked a few States.
At least the ones he picked are on or near the Canadian border.

Oh...and your health care system absolutely sucks.

What US subsidy are you talking about?
I was referring to trade deficit. Trump is eliminating that through tariffs.

It seems you don't know what Mississippi, Alabama, and Oklahoma are since you think they are Montana, ND and SD.

Nope. In Alberta, the average household makes $57,000 US, and that is before exhorbitant taxes and fees (overall roughly 30.5%). Canadians have to pay Federal income tax, Provincial income tax, Canadian Pension Plan contributions and Employment Insurance premiums. A household making $57,000 US must pay $13,000 in taxes and fees. Yikes! This leaves the household with $44,000 US. But then they later find out when they need healthcare that it is totally unavailable, despite having gotten fleeced by the government under the pretense of making healthcare available to everyone.

What is the median income in ND after paying for health care?
An average household in North Dakota, in contrast, makes $76,000 and pays $13,700 in taxes and fees along with $6,000 for healthcare coverage. This leaves the North Dakota household with $56,300 after taxes/fees and fully available healthcare.

A trade deficit is not a subsidy.

It seems you are now going to just make shit up. The average household in Alberta makes $77,536 US ($107,800 CA) before taxes in 2022 and fees which include health care. They then make $58,103 US after those taxes and fees. If you don't even get simple facts correct, then we really have not much else to talk about.

Median household after-tax income (2020) - $83,000
Median household total income (2020) -$93,000

So that means those in Alberta make $58,103 after taxes, fees and health care and North Dakotans make $56,300 after taxes/fees and healthcare if you did that correctly.
