If Tim Scott is the Republiclown presidential nominee for 2024, could he beat Biden?

Would YOU vote for Tim Scott over Joe Biden?

No. It looks like we're 180 degrees apart on the issues.

"Scott was strongly conservative. He generally voted with the party leadership, opposing most initiatives undertaken by the administration of Pres. Barack Obama; he notably sought to repeal the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (2010; PPACA). Scott championed a constitutional amendment to balance the federal budget, and he advocated a ban on earmarks. On social issues, he opposed abortion rights and same-sex marriage.

In 2016 Scott was reelected to the Senate. He subsequently supported many of Republican Pres. Donald Trump’s policies. In 2017 he backed the president’s decision to withdraw from the Paris Agreement on climate change and voted to repeal the PPACA, though that legislation was defeated. That year he also helped pass a massive tax-reform bill.

In 2019 the House voted to impeach Trump over allegations that he had withheld aid to Ukraine in order to pressure the country into opening a corruption investigation into Joe Biden, a political rival. The proceedings then shifted to the Republican-controlled Senate, and in February 2020 Scott voted to acquit Trump; the president was acquitted in a near-party line vote."

With all due respect to the OP, this question is laughable on multiple levels. For starters to be the Republican nominee he would have to win the primary, the same people that supposedly wouldn’t vote for him.

The other irony is Democrats would pull the “he’s the black face of white supremacy” card like they did with Larry Elder. Democrats claim to love minorities in office, unless they don’t share their political views.

In 2020 anyone could have beaten Trump yet the Democrats chose an old white man. You had your own chance to vote for a black person, or other minority, and most of you didn’t.

In California, a state where we’ve only had white men as Governors, we’ve had a chance to vote for a woman - Meg Whitman - and a black man - Larry Elder - and they each lost to a white man. All this talk of equity and inclusion and the need for diversity in office and the white men win again.

Trying to paint others as racist can be a diversion tactic from one’s own actions or feelings.

And Tim Scott would beat Biden. He has the chops, it’s up to him now to show them to the country.

Or are there too many racists in the Republiclown party that would never vote for a black man?

I know there are a few on this forum. We all know who they are.

I think Tom Scott scares Democratic Party Presidential campaigns. The bad news for the Republicans and good news for the Democrats is that he may not be solidly considered by the Republican voters.

A Plan B is to make him the VP for DeSantis.

It will be trump.

desantis is just something the deep state puppet faction of the right keeps floating, dave rubin, the daily wire, secret globalists.

I doubt he could get the R nomination, but he could for sure win the general.

Same with Nikki Haley.

Agreed on both counts. Although I haven't seen any polls of Independents, I'm guessing they'd lean slightly right with Biden as the Democratic nominee. Both Scott and Haley are good fits and I'd vote for either of them against Biden. The problem for the Democrats is they have no one better.

If it's DeSantis or Trump, I'd vote Libertarian again. Biden could win by default. LOL

It will be Trump, Deep state dreamer!

you can afford to be a theoretical conservative when your ideas are so assinine.

neither of those will be the candidate. you're just helping the woke biden globalist traitor regime.

Now that would be scary for dims especially in debates.
DeSantis would further expose Brandon as a senile doddering old fool and Tim Scott , who is 100% black would bring the half black ho close to tears like Tulsi did.
Irregardless of their positions.

I think pretty much all MAGA morons can think about is how to own the libs.

They don't really have a coherent political philosophy of their own.

If nominating Trump is a way to stick it to the libs, I believe that will be their primary animating factor.
Agreed on morons. IMO, I think that's a major scare for what passes as Republican leadership. Too many violent, angry nutjobs waiting for someone to set them off. Trump tried with his request for protests, but it fizzled. I think many of the nutjobs realized he fucked over their buddies by not giving them blanket pardons after 1/6.

Still, the hate is building for a few RW mass murders before November 2024 causing the Republicans a major problem with voters.

Time until the conspiracy theorists are already planning their theories that it's really Lefties causing the murders? 10...9...8....

I think if a black candidate is against affirmative action, opposes gays, opposes reproductive choice, supports white Christian nationalism, and supports low taxes on the wealthy, you could get MAGAs to vote for him

So what you are saying is

For POTUS, if we add in a healthy dose of criminality and self enriching grifting?

Agreed, it would be a double Republican win in debates.

Did you see Trump's Pudding commercial against Meatball Ron? LOL

Why is the Trump campaign mocking DeSantis's 'pudding fingers'?

I’m considering switching my registration so that I can vote for whoever is most likely to be Trump in the primary. The alternatives are all better.

I dislike corruption in our government, regardless of which side is doing it. When corrupt politicians are defended by their own party, it sets a precedent for the opposing party to do the same. It goes back and forth until we end up with fucking morons like Donald J. Trump.

As Americans, we need to do better to protect a fair and honest government. That means holding everyone accountable to the same standard and not giving passes because of political convenience.

IIRC, SCOTUS can vote to impeach one of its own members along with Congress. Maybe it'll come up at some point since Clarence and his wife seem to have crossed a lot of lines the past few years.

Having the chops to win an election is a larger factor in becoming president
than actually having the chops to effectively preside over the national cabinet.

Is there anything to be done about that?
Probably not, and that explains why we're fucked.

the nation is hip to your lies.

The Trump Pudding ad proves Trump is going to war with DeSantis. DeSantis could have his own problems in a national election considering his attacks on individual rights in Florida.

My apologies for touching a nerve about reality, Fredo. I thought it was important to know when you are being used by terrorists. Stop letting them do that, man.

Not sure why you think that. You think someone like TDaK would vote for a black man? I don't. And there's many more like him in the Republiclown party. I'd say at least 10%.

And Congress members like MTG, George Santos and Lauren Boobert are turning voters off to the Republiclown party.
Even if the Republiclowns end up with a decent candidate, voting for them would give the loons in Congress more power and that's a scary thought.
