Have dems lost Florida forever?

Teflon Don

I'm back baby
It seems like yesterday when Florida was THE battleground state, along with Ohio. Of course everyone remembers the election of 2000 and today the democrats embrace the Bush/Cheney coalition into their statist bosom.

But, look at these numbers. Miami Dade County was once a democrat stronghold filled with all sorts of voting irregularities. Now, it is +5.5% R in voter registration. That is amazing. More amazing (well maybe not) is that the media doesn't report on this cataclysmic shift. Even Palm Beach is only +5.8D when in the past it was much higher.

So the leftists here don't start wetting their pants, I am not saying that this one data point means Trump is winning the election. Just pointing out FACTS with DATA. How in a short time, states that were once fierce battlegrounds are no longer in play; Florida, Ohio, Iowa, Missouri and now replaced with others.

Nothing in your link shows how Republican women are voting. Just that they are. And when you add Dem/No Party Affiliation, Republicans are behind.

forever is a mighty long time.

In a nutshell...

Old, white northern retirees will always come to retire in Florida.

They bring with them their crotchety, blue collar ignorance and support of obnoxious loud mouthed right-wing politicians who impress them with their tough guy talk.

Law and order vs lawlessness and depravity.
Not a hard choice.

Maybe you should go back and re-read what I posted as well as the link. I don't think you understood it. If you need it explained to you, let me know

You mean those solidly democrat run northern states?

I should have known cognitive dissonance would be employed

Indeed. These sorts of voting coalitions regularly change. In Florida's case, the biggest part of their recent "conservative shift" was cleaning up the election fraud in Broward County that was once much more rampant than it is today. Have you noticed that THEY, as the 3rd most populated State, can easily get all of their votes counted on election night, yet we're supposed to believe that numerous much smaller States (mostly "swing states", interestingly enough) somehow cannot manage to do the same?

Then there's the fact that Trump is not a "cocktail club professional Republican" like Mitt Romney is, which has won Trump the Hispanic vote there (see Miami Dade County, which is now voting REPUBLICAN).

Have the Dems lost Florida forever? The simple answer is no, but for the time being, so long as Republican candidates embrace the MAGA movement, Florida is in fact long gone for Democrats (to the tune of double digits). Ohio and Iowa are in similar boats. MAGA movement = landslide R victory, while "professional Republican" = toss-up or even a D victory.

Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania are all in a similar boat too, except that they have a lot more election fraud to overcome in order for R's to win. If they'd all undergo a "Broward County cleanup", then they'd all be regularly voting (at the very least) 5 points in favor of R's, if not closer to 10. Some of the worst election fraud in the country occurs in Madison, Detroit, and Philly.

A few points difference is not what forevers are made of. Especially when those few points are made up of people who will be dead during the next election.

Florida has a real problem that productive young people are no longer moving there in great numbers. That does help Republicans. But it is a terrible way to build a state.

Florida is on a knifes edge... As is Texas... I never thought I would say that about Texas.

So you're going to completely ignore the plethora of Hispanics in Miami-Dade County who have shifted HARD to the right in their voting as of recently?

Does it really matter? We'll still send all our expendible cash to Florida to bail them out of YET ANOTHER hurricane despite the fact that "climate change" doesn't exist in Florida. We'll still bail them out year after year. If a large swath of America's Jewish grandparents want to live in a state that votes for Hitler 2.0 I guess there's nothing anyone can do.

Have dems lost Florida forever?

Perhaps it will disappear entirely after the next series of monster, fossil-fuel-fed hurricanes.

" Drill, baby, drill "

Double digits is not "a few points".
Especially when those few points are made up of people who will be dead during the next election.
A bald-faced lie. The "very old" demographic is actually trending Democrat, believe it or not. The "young" and the "buck the system" demographics are, believe it or not, actually trending Republican (specifically, MAGA movement).

The "retiree-aged" demographic, while still a Republican majority, is actually trending towards Democrats.

Neither of them are. Trump will win both of them by double digits... Florida maybe even more-so than Texas.

Double digits is not "a few points".
It is hard to take you seriously when you make crazy predictions.

trump will get 51 or 52% of the vote in Florida, and 52 or 53% of the vote in Texas. In neither state will he have a double digit lead.

Republicans used to be able to count on at least 20 point leads in Texas, not it is closer to 2 point leads. Sooner or later, if this trend continues, they will lose Texas.... And then, oddly, in the next election they will lose Florida.

Biden got 64% of the 25 to 29 Florida voters, while trump got 55% of the over 65 Florida voters, so I do not believe you.

The "retiree-aged" demographic, while still a Republican majority, is actually trending towards Democrats.
If that is true, then Florida is lost to Republicans.

Neither of them are. Trump will win both of them by double digits... Florida maybe even more-so than Texas.
That is extremely unlikely.

Law and order vs lawlessness and depravity.
Not a hard choice.

So, why is the state's violent crimes and murder rate so high with all these law and order trumpers putting tough guy trumpers in office everywhere from the governor's office on down?

Looks like they support failure to me.

So you're such an idiot, you think conservatives don't live in or move away from states with Democrats in office?

You truly are stupid, aren't you?

No need to answer that.
