What state is that? There are only six that have set the age at 18 and removed all exceptions. I certainly support this though. 18 and no exceptions. Parents should not have the right to "give permission" to get their 12 year old daughter all hitched up. Nobody is ready to make life decisions at that age and nobody should make it "in their behalf", that's child abuse.

Oddly Massachusetts has the lowest minimum marriage age with parental consent of 14 years old for boys and 12 years old for girls, sure doesn't sound like a republican stronghold to me.

Anything under 18 here is going to prison for statutory rape. I've heard people getting their asses kicked for that that really didn't deserve it.

Just glad I was never the target, I reckon they liked me. The big black bully got the same treatment. He whimpered like a bitch. They beat his ass extra.

I told 'em I couldn't do that to the poor statutory rape dude. Him and his girl were in love. The dudes kicked his ass black and blue. There may have been some overreach on the ass-kickin', but there was order within the community. :D
