It’s simple: People who shouldn’t be in this country in the first place should have no role in determining how many congressional seats each state receives.

Absolutely true!

Fix the flawed U.S. census

President Trump was elected to confront the failed status quo in Washington by enacting his commonsense, “America First” reforms. Whether it’s the open border, out-of-control federal spending, the broken public education system or the crime crisis in the District of Columbia, this president is determined to address all the festering problems, large and small, nagging our country.

The troubling situation regarding the results of the bogus 2020 census conducted during the fog of the COVID-19 pandemic crisis is no exception. Similar to the 2020 presidential election, many critical questions remain and important policy changes are long overdue.

A healthy republic must have strong borders, secure elections and an accurate census. The time is now to drive the necessary reforms for the census and move forward with a more accurate count of Americans. This is all about saving America. Mr. Trump and his team should be commended for raising awareness about the train wreck of the current process. Getting the census right is an absolute must, and the issue hasn’t received nearly the attention it deserves. Until now.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, “apportionment is the process of dividing the 435 memberships, or seats, in the U.S. House of Representatives among the 50 states, based on the state population counts that result from each decennial census … those results will determine the amount of political representation each state will have in Congress for the next 10 years.”

Make no mistake: A flawed census has enormously dangerous consequences and is totally unacceptable. Mr. Trump kick-started the discussion by posting on Truth Social earlier this month: “I have instructed our Department of Commerce to immediately begin work on a new and highly accurate CENSUS based on modern day facts and figures and, importantly, using the results and information gained from the Presidential Election of 2024. People who are in our Country illegally WILL NOT BE COUNTED IN THE CENSUS.”

In Trumpian fashion, the president got straight to the point. He believes illegal immigrants aren’t allowed to vote in our elections and, therefore, shouldn’t be counted in the census. It’s simple: People who shouldn’t be in this country in the first place should have no role in determining how many congressional seats each state receives. Moreover, counting illegals in the census dilutes the voices of American citizens, negatively affects how trillions of taxpayer dollars are spent and puts an enormous strain on entitlement programs, health care and education.

According to Pew Research, the Census Bureau found that its 2020 tabulations “overcounted household populations in eight states while undercounting household populations in six others. The states with overcounts were Delaware, Hawaii, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, Rhode Island and Utah. Those with undercounts were Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Mississippi, Tennessee and Texas.”
It doesn’t take a genius to see that blue state representation was boosted and red state representation was hampered. In fact, Vice President J.D. Vance recently said, “If you actually did the census anew right now, you would have 10 additional Republican seats and nine fewer Democrat seats.” It’s plain to see that this grave injustice must be corrected, and without delay.

The American people now understand that the Biden-Harris administration weaponized the federal government across the board to cling to power. It used the justice system to try to destroy Mr. Trump, politicized the federal workforce to help with Democratic voter turnout, deliberately opened the border and broke the law by forgiving billions upon billions of dollars in student loans. So it defies credulity to believe that the census was somehow spared from that administration’s abusive political schemes.

It’s no surprise that Democrats are fighting Mr. Trump and other Republicans on this push for commonsense reform as they do on seemingly every other issue. The left’s opposition to a new census is inextricably linked to its opposition to election integrity laws and U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement deportations. Put simply, this is all about Democrats padding their votes at the ballot box and bolstering their numbers in Congress by any means necessary.

Our Founding Fathers and the authors of the 14th Amendment didn’t account for an invasion of millions upon millions of illegal immigrants when discussing the census. It’s time to fix this glaring problem once and for all. Illegal immigrants should no longer be counted because the American people deserve a census that determines congressional representation properly.

I've stated this from the beginning. The ONLY answer for what Mayorkas and Biden did was to corruptly skew the number of representatives in the House.

Joe Biden threw open the border to rig the census — and elections for Democrats

We know that the Biden administration deliberately broke the border and ushered in over 20 million illegal aliens, at a huge cost to the nation’s social welfare system, and with a reckless disregard for potential criminality and terrorism.

Exactly why it did it has always been the burning question.

A new Rasmussen poll gives us a clue: It’s the census.

There is mounting evidence that the Biden administration tried to cook the books to give Democrats an unfair advantage, which explains why a minority of Democrats (43% compared to 83% Republicans) approve of President Trump’s decision to take a new census that excludes illegal aliens from the population count.

Illegal migrants have always been included in the census, so blue states like California, Texas, New York and New Jersey, which bore the brunt of Biden’s influx, get increased representation, which means more congressional seats for Democrats, more Electoral College votes for Democrats, and more funding for Democrats.

Meanwhile, Democrat-proxy NGOs, not to mention federal agencies under Biden, like FEMA, were registering them to vote, even though they are not eligible. That’s why Democrats fought tooth and nail to prevent voter ID so that ineligible non-citizens could vote. Further down the track, they figured that amnesty would net them tens of millions of new Democratic voters — at least for a generation or so.

But that was just the icing on the cake. The census was the immediate payoff, and they didn’t care how many illegal aliens raped, murdered, robbed or extorted American citizens. They didn’t care that the social safety net in cities like New York was collapsing under the weight of all these new supplicants. Slave-labor wages that undercut American workers only make sense if the state picks up the cost of room and board and health care for the slaves.

It was the census that would give Democrats more power, and in April 2021, when Biden Commerce Secretary Gina Raimondo announced the 2020 Census results, we started to see “errors” that mostly only went one way.

Red states like Florida, Texas, Mississippi, Arkansas and Tennessee were undercounted while blue states like New York, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Minnesota, and Biden’s home state of Delaware had overcounts, skewing political representation and funding allocation.

“The miscounts … particularly given that overrepresentation appears to have tended to noticeably skew in favor of one political party over another, demands additional scrutiny of potential political influence by the Biden-Harris Administration or other deficiencies that would explain these errors,” House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-Ky.) wrote in a letter to the Census Bureau last year.
