Ex marine neo nazi rape and racist murder plot

People used to just get jobs. If it was not the job they wanted, they would try to get a better job. These days, a lot of people only want the best jobs, but refuse to work to get it.

Some people I feel bad telling that to. For instance, I feel bad telling a veteran that after all his sacrifice, he has to work hard to get anywhere in life. Luckily, some veterans get that is just life. I have a good friend who lost a leg in Iraq, then worked as a short order chef while going to Rutgers, and now is working hard as a computer programmer. Can you imagine being a short order chef with only one leg? (He had a prosthetic leg, but I am not counting that as a leg).

Then I see these other people who did not go to college, and refuse to get jobs, complaining there are no good jobs out there.

Agreed. We're a society of "It's all about me".

If an honorable veteran doesn't understand that point, then there's something wrong mentally, IMO. What do you think made the Chef different from the quitters?

Is laziness a mental disorder?

Wes' father was a Black who spent half of Wes' childhood in prison, before becoming part of Wes' life again. His mother was, and still is, an illegal alien. These were people who just expected to work hard. Wes is the type of person that works even if he has money.

Yes, either a mental disorder, or a symptom of a mental disorder.

What's the solution?

IMO, from a B.F. Skinner POV, people tend to respect what they've earned more than what they've been given. People raised without earning anything grow up lacking respect for themselves and the result is, in part, laziness of spirit and a poor work ethic.

Many Americans have been taught they will automatically get stuff for being a white American man. It really did work for a generation, but today it is easier to get a good paying job as a Black transvestite with a PHD in computer engineering than as a white high school dropout. Maybe it always should have been that way.

WTF? I'm 66 years old and was always taught that if I wanted something, I had to work for it...so I did. Which is why I don't have sympathy for the cowardly or the weak. The sick, including the mentally sick, are a different matter but that is covered on degrees of sympathy.
