'Empire' star hospitalized after possible homophobic attack in Chicago by MAGA Racist

"Empire" star Jussie Smollett was brutally attacked by two men who beat him up, put his head in a noose and screamed, "This is MAGA country," TMZ is reporting.

Sources directly connected to Smollett tell TMZ, the actor arrived in Chicago from New York late Monday, and at around 2 a.m. he was hungry and went to a Subway. TMZ was told when he walked out, someone yelled, "Aren't you that f***ot 'Empire' n*****?"

The two men -- both white and wearing ski masks -- viciously attacked Smollett as he fought back, but they beat him badly and fractured a rib. They put a rope around his neck, poured bleach on him and as they left they yelled, "This is MAGA country."

Smollett was taken to Northwestern Memorial where he was treated. He was discharged later Tuesday morning.

Chicago Police spokesman Anthony Guglielmi released this statement about the attack: "Overnight, the Chicago Police Department received a report of a possible racially-charged assault and battery involving a cast member of the television show Empire. Given the severity of the allegations, we are taking this investigation very seriously and treating it as a possible hate crime. Detectives are currently working to gather video, identify potential witnesses and establish an investigative timeline. T

I’m not sure what black people being racist or not racist has to do with this attack. The people who committed this attack are dispicable human beings. I hope they are caught and severely punished. They are truly scum. Fvck those guys.

White guys, in ski masks (yelling MAGA), with a rope (pre-made noose) and a bottle of bleach happens across a gay celebrity, alone, in a place where there are no witnesses....

The story sounds fabricated with all the cliches. Any videos of the perps? There's gotta be a zillion cameras in Chicago. Did they leave the bleach container behind or any traces at the scene? LOL the whole idea of a couple of dudes laying in wait with bleach and a rope is hard to believe. It sounds like network cop show script.

The idea of someone walking around at 2am with a noose and bleach does strain some credibility.

Chicago that night it was snowing heavily with bitter below zero temps. Obviously the perfect time to be out with ropes and bleach waiting for the next gay celebrity to come along to attack.

And obviously a subzero snowstorm at 2:00 am is the perfect time to go get subway sandwiches. Assuming subway was even open at 2:00 am.

As an actor, You would think he could have come up with something more creative.
 
Chicago isn't MAGA country, so, I don't know what those attackers were smoking. I think the only time Chicago tried to make America great in the past 120 years was in 1968.
