Good morning.Omicron has not peaked yet.
Previous peaks of Active Cases occurred during January 2021 and Sept 2021.

Good morning.
Do you have any stats on the current US death rates by age group? TIA
Hello Dutch,
Good morning,
The site I use for data does not, but I found this one:
COVID-19 deaths by age
Good. Thanks for the link. Being naturally lazy, I was hoping someone else would do the math but can use the data to do it myself.![]()
Thank God for calculators! Most of these will be the unvaxxed; mostly voluntarily unvaxxed but certainly a few involuntary unvaxxed.
Darth, and who knows who else, who are unvaxxed and unvaxxed stand a 1 out of 4 chance of dying from COVID. Meaning for every four unvaxxed idiots, all will end up sick and one will end up D-E-A-D.

Hello Dutch,
Well, we can only wonder about Darth. He posted fairly regularly up until his last post in September last year (when the Delta Variant hit,) and then he abruptly stopped posting. I can't remember ever getting a straight answer out of him bout whether he was vaccinated or boosted. It seems his final post date preceded the availability of boosters by just a few weeks, though, IIRC.
Correct. Unless someone knows him it's impossible to say if he's in jail for DUI manslaughter, dead of a heart attack or committed suicide. People drop offline without notice all the time.
That said, it would be unrealistic for anyone to think that 100% of JPP members will be untouched by COVID. Especially considering JPP's elderly demographic.
Not trying to sound cruel or heartless, but stupid or insane people removing themselves from circulation is a good thing.
Better if they were cared for, but out of the game works too.![]()
Good morning Dutch,
I understand. Hey. We've got to be able to talk about it.
If Darth took himself out due to a preventable disease where use of the prevention could have made the difference of life and death, but the use of which became such a political football that many have made a tragic mistake, then so be it. That would be a case of dying for what one believes in, and being proven in so doing of ultimately having believed in the wrong thing.
It can't be denied that the elimination of dangerous beliefs is a good thing for society overall. It's sad if that has to include preventable death, but we live in a real world with real consequences.
As the wise man said, "You can't fix stupid". Maybe gene tech will eventually allow stupid or insane people to be brought up to average. Until then, we're stuck with them.
2/3s of the Insurrectionists had mental health issues. Most mass murders are done by people who were previously known to be mentally ill. There's no effective system in the US to help them before they ruin their lives or harm others. Instead we lock them up in prison after a tragedy where, because there's no really help there, they'll come out the same or worse than when they went in.
