None of those 22,445 Americans think there is anything mild about Omicron at all.

"New York hospitals revealed Friday that 42% of COVID patients were admitted for other reasons, and tested positive for the virus only incidentally.
In NYC, the rate is higher with 51% of COVID patients admitted for other reasons - like gunshots and car accidents.
Gov. Hochul pushed for the data after seeing total hospitalizations finally begin to level out and hold steady.
Omicron appears to be driving a higher rate of incidental hospitalization.
The same is true all over this country, if not the world. When you incentivize hospitals to say it's the virus, they'll lie because they're all money-grubbing fuckin' whore.
Juss' sayin..."

So we are at all time high hospitalized with COVID. But with a variant this infectious and given that we never got around to separating hospitalized because of COVID from hospitalized and also has COVID does this even matter?

Blue States Lead in Daily Average of Coronavirus Cases per Capita

"according to the New York Times’ coronavirus tracker, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts, and Washington, DC, lead the U.S. in the daily average of coronavirus cases per capita. Rhode Island currently stands at 413 per 100,000, followed by New York with 362 and New Jersey with 351.

Massachusetts is reporting 289 cases per capita, followed by D.C., which led the country mere weeks ago, reporting 280. All of those figures are above the U.S. average of 195 cases per 100,000.

That comes despite the fact that several areas, such as New York and Washington, DC, have reintroduced mandates in the wake of the omicron variant of the virus."
