Wow. Active Cases shot up by over 100,000 in one day.
We are now over 10.6 million active cases.
It took the whole pandemic up to December 13th to make it up to 10 million, and here we are, well already on our way to 11 million less than 10 days later.
The big spike seen in the middle of the graph is last year after Sturgis and Trump's super-spreader parties and rallies, when all the unvaccinated kids went back to school, and through the holidays till the end of January.
The next bump is Delta.
The tail end of the graph on the right is our newest spike, the Omicron wave, just beginning.
We ain't seen nuthin yet. 15 million cases? 20 million? Deaths are rising too. Omicron is Coronavirus. It is still a killer.
Be safe.

Notice the serious and critical cases stopped rising.
And the deaths are fewer than the day before.
Is that because Omicron is less deadly?
Or is it because more people are vaccinated.
Or perhaps a combination of the two.
My understanding is that researchers are working on those answers right now and it is still too soon to tell.
