799,138 dead Americans with up to 200,000 totally unnecessary because RW Retards politicized a pandemic.

Hello Dutch Uncle,

799,138 dead Americans with up to 200,000 totally unnecessary because RW Retards politicized a pandemic.

More than that. Way more, the way I see it. But then, we had terrible leadership when the pandemic began, which allowed it to become far worse than it ever needed to be, and far quicker. 'Gone by Easter,' yeah right.

Impossible to say, but you are probably correct. Certainly most, if not all, deaths after the vaccines were developed were preventable.

Trump White House COVID-19 coordinator Deborah Birx says most deaths could have been avoided
In an excerpt from "Covid War: The Pandemic Doctors Speak Out," Birx said that while many deaths in the first wave of the coronavirus pandemic were likely inevitable, the lethality of later waves could have been greatly reduced if the U.S. had "mitigated earlier ... paused earlier and actually done" greater social distancing and shutdown measures.

"I look at it this way," Birx told CNN's Chief Medical Correspondent Sanjay Gupta. "The first time, we have an excuse. There were about 100,000 deaths that came from that original surge. All of the rest of them, in my mind, could have been mitigated or decreased substantially."

In March 2020, Birx and National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases head Dr. Anthony Fauci warned that nearly 240,000 would die from the coronavirus if precautions were not taken. To date, there are nearly 550,000 deaths from COVID-19 in the United States, according to the Johns Hopkins University Coronavirus Tracker.

The initial surge never had to become so big so quickly. Trump blew it. Better leadership would have done a much better job of limiting the spread. Clinton would have saved hundreds of thousands of American lives where Trump did not. That's the bottom line. She would have totally taken it seriously where he blew it off. She would have recognized the crisis for what it was and not tried to make it about her.

I think any competent, sane President would have done so including Pence. Trump was the delusional wild card that skewed the US response.

Trump will get his wish of being "famous" and in all the US history books just like Benedict Arnold, Charles Manson and Ted Kaczynski. Probably more so since he is personally responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands of Americans.

Should pedophile mass murderers of the future be called "Trumpers"?

During the first year I ran this thread, I only had to put the month and day.

Now I have to include the year as well.

Be safe, people. This thing is not going away any time soon. But we can beat it. We just need to get more people to take it seriously and take the appropriate precautions to prevent spread.

Pandemics have come and pandemics have gone in the past. We will beat this. We have to.
