Corona Virus Peak Watch Thread

Fauci said we are facing a worsening problem. The admin did so little about the Trump virus that is climbing rapidly. We have the post-holiday surge to deal with thanks to rightys ignoring the rules. But Biden is dealing with it as scientists say, so it will improve.
 
Fauci's been full of it for a year, changing his mind and more interested in being a media hog than putting on a lab coat and actually working as a "scientist". He's an idiot.

Someone had to keep the economy going while the rest of you chicken butts were hiding so a surge was part of the bargain.

Active Cases just had another hiccup.

Could that be our elusive peak?

The figure dropped from 9,862,996 on Sunday to 9,812,845 yesterday.

And the number of Serious or Critical cases continues to fall. It peaked at 29,771 on Jan 5, and has now fallen to 26,259.
 
Good news: Active Cases continues to fall.

Bad news: That is partly because over 4000 Americans lost their lives yesterday.

Dr Fauci said it is too soon to see the vaccinations begin to make an impact.

Fortunately we appear to be beyond the holiday surge, and we have no more big holidays coming up.

I think we are seeing the toll of the holidays.

Hopefully, the daily death numbers will begin to taper off.

I am encouraged by watching the number of Serious and Critical cases continue to fall.

That has been a preceptor of the number of deaths.

Serious and Critical cases fell below 26K yesterday. Last summer, it had fallen to 14K when we flattened the curve.

Let's all do our best to do that again, shall we?

It's sad seeing these daily death numbers of 4K.
 
Hey, at least we don't have a leader telling us everyone who wants a vaccine can get one.

The number of Serious and Critical cases in the USA continues to drop.

It peaked the day before the Violent Right Wing Extremist Capitol Siege.

-An ominous time of Domestic Terrorism in our history, that we just lived through.
