THAT'S why when the right wants to spread fear of socialism they always talk about Venezuela and falsely claim that 'everywhere socialism has been tried it has failed.' That's FALSE!
They are fooling them selves.
They don't want to admit that we already have socialism, and have had it since before WWII, and it has worked out fine. We had it when they thought America 'was great' in the 1950's and 1960's. And we taxed the super rich at some of the highest rates ever known. As much as 93% of all their income in the top bracket went to the government. And we used it to pay for hospitals, airports and interstate highways. And a little thing called the Space Race. And a huge nuclear arsenal. And nuclear power plants and nuclear submarines. If all these 'horrible' things made America great, we can all thank socialism for that.
And even though we had the top marginal tax rate at 93%, the rich didn't leave! That's because they are truly loyal and patriotic
Americans and they love their country and they knew they had it better than everybody else. What's not to like about THAT?
And the other fallacy is that a choice has to be made between capitalism and socialism.
Not true!
Capitalism and socialism can exist just fine side by side. They already do.
The challenge is not to decide between a future of capitalism or one of socialism. That is not a choice at all. The challenge is to get the left and the right to have a healthy functional dialog without demeaning one another, and just talk about how much socialism to balance out our capitalism with. We know we need both. We just have to figure out where to draw the line.
But since these RWNJ's are so stubborn and unable to debate, all they wanna do is whip up hatred and demonize the other side, and shut down debate. (which is why I do not bother talking to them.) They hurt themselves in so doing. And they hurt America. They say they want to make America great, but what they are saying and what they are doing are two different things. They call liberals all kinds of names and get filthy nasty and refuse to have a respectful debate. They make America so dysfunctional we can't even talk about what we really need to do. Their position is 'my way or the highway.' No compromise. They want it all or they want nothing. And since they can't have it all, they go around with a chip on their shoulder and hatred in their hearts.
They are hurting the country and preventing America from being great. The very thing they say they want, they make sure it never happens.
A country can't be great when it is bitterly divided.
Summa these people really need to get counseling and learn how to love their neighbor.
And they should know that what Trump is doing is not making America great. It is false, fake, and it can't last. It is not sustainable because it is built on screwing the government out of sufficient revenue to keep the country going. It can't last! You have to have enough revenue to pay for the government or the country is going to fail. Having stellar credit is great, but you can't live on credit forever. But that's they way the country is currently being run. All this gloating about how great the economy is a LIE. It can't be great if we are not paying for it. It's like going out and buying a really fancy new truck on credit just to show off to the neighbors, but you can't make the payments. Oh, it's all very impressive until the day comes that it gets repossessed.
Common Sense needs to repossess our government. We have to evict the King Of Debt and elect Joe Biden as President of the United States.
And we need to be united again.
Every RWNJ needs to go get counseling and stop all the stupid hatred. Deal with your own issues, people. Don't wreck the country because you have unresolved anger management issues.
And there are certainly people on the left who have their share of psychological issues too. The hatred goes both ways. Fighting hatred with hatred only begets more hatred. Marianne Williamson had it right. You don't fight hatred with more hatred. You fight hatred with love. We need a more loving nation. We need more of these so-called Christians to actually love their neighbor.
You people on the left who are spewing hatred need to cut it out, too. It's shameful and it's not accomplishing anything. You lower yourself to gutter level when you roll in the gutter talk.
That's breaking the Michelle Rule. When they go low you need to go high. When they go low, they are doing something wrong. Two wrongs do not make a right. Just because they go low does not make it OK to go low too. It's still wrong. When they go low, we go high.
