Everyone is free to do whatever they want to.

I choose not to wear a mask because I think they are over-rated. And I *know* the unintended consequences are never considered by the mask enthusiasts.

It’s not an absolute thing. I’d probably wear one in certain instances. Just not to the store or whatever.

Masks are not to prevent catching the disease, but to prevent spreading it. If you people (Delta Sierras) don't like my mask then stay at least six feet away.

And the mask you have chosen sucks at spreading it as well. Also the six feet is a made up fucking number. You do realize that a good sneeze or yell can spread droplets farther than six feet?

Note the personalities on this forum who brag about not wearing masks. They're all just Lemmings doing what Trump says. It's really sad. Worse, while they will be part of the problem when spreading disease, they are most likely to bring more harm to their own families by being each family's "Patient Zero". The ones who think this virus is a hoax or no worse than a cold are simply too stupid to do anything except what some Populist leader tells them.

FWIW, I'd prefer people keep their fucking distance from me. If it wasn't for my wife, I wouldn't bath regularly either since the further assholes like you stay away from me, the less likely I am to catch whatever crap you are carrying.

There are over 2800 cases in WV.

50 New Cases just yesterday.

93 people have died there.

Out of 1.8 million.

Had we not shutdown we might have gotten to 200-300. Out of 1.8 million. But how about some perspective? How many Fentanyl deaths have occurred in the same time frame? How many flu deaths, for that matter?

But we shut down and the ramifications of that are going to be felt for years—if not longer.

You should study more about evolution. In the face of a fatal pandemic, they'll either get sick and survive or get sick and die off without a vaccine. Regardless, there'll be a lot less "anti-vaxxers" in the future.
 
It still is looking like this Bug Out Of China has evolved into a much less lethal form. We still need to not crash our healthcare system which is still expensive deeply mismanaged crap but unless there is a new load on hospitals, and so far there as not been, we need to push forwards in trying to get back to life. World0Meters is still below 16,000 serious/critical.

There won't be enough doses of the vaccine available for everyone initially, anyway.

The first thing that would happen might be first line workers get a vaccine, if and when one is successfully developed and fully tested.

At-risk people would also be prioritized.

Lastly, as more doses are manufactured, it would be made available to the general public.

I do not know the percentage of people who are anti-vax, but wide use of a vaccine is vastly preferable to no vaccine.

Hopefully, enough people would get it that the virus becomes under control.

If not, the people who did not get the vaccine would be the most susceptible to the disease, and some of them may die because of it.

Others could get the disease and develop natural immunity, if that exists. We don't know yet.

We certainly do live in interesting times.
