Unless something interrupts this trajectory we will soon surpass the previously set peak of Active Cases.
It could happen within the next week.
Or, it has already happened.
According to this Graph of Active Cases, which has been adjusted with new information since what we recorded here on January 18th, our previous peak has already been surpassed, and we are on our way to set a new record:

The world has experienced 3 peaks in daily new COVID cases.
The first one was early January this year.
The second one was near the end of April.
And the third one was about August 19th.
I presume the most recent one was the world peaking with the Delta Variant.
