cops murder doctor in his own home

In what way did the cops act unlawfully?
using Florida v. Jardines, an American citizen has extra protections when inside their home...............those police did not have an arrest warrant. The verbal exchange of wanting to get Dr. Lanis to step out on the porch was to provide legal cover to arrest him. Otherwise, without a warrant, the police had no legal authority to enter, or breach, the home of the doctor. so, the rookie cop reaching inside to grab the Drs. arm was a 4th Amendment violation

maybe they shouldn't be in this case.

maybe it should be prosecuted.

I believe in public police, yes for myself, because I'm a pussy, but also for the elderly and women and children.

you don't?

are you an anarchist?

except for currency enforcement?
so, in your mind, when should government agents be required to abide by the law and when they should be given autonomy to act without any lawful guidance?????

if they err they should be prosecuted.

I've said it 4 times now.

this is just cherry picking.

I'm not in favor of "cop lawlessness".

and you still won't answer if you're against the concept of public provided security.

are you?

be fair bro.

I've tried to tell YOU 4 times, that when you provide numerous defenses for actions of government while maintaining that civilians should know every aspect of law and behave accordingly, you support a system of lawlessness.

How do you know that?
They are supposed to identify that they have an arrest warrant. Fl v. Jardines stipulated that if officers have a warrant, 4th Amendment protections are limited. Given the body cam video of the officers asking the Dr to step out instead of them immediately stepping in demonstrates that they did not have an arrest warrant.

I'd love to know. This is a bizarre thread, even for SmarterthanYou. The cops didn't break any laws. Lanis resisted arrest and pulled a gun on them. They tried to subdue him. Then they shot him. I am honestly mystified as to what this thread is supposed to be about.

Well now it’s about STY not doing a little research before posting.
